In a move long anticipated, Philadelphia lawyer Phil Berg, anti-Obama activist and judicial candidate has filed suit against Orly Taitz on behalf of individuals who have come under attack recently by California lawyer and anti-Obama conspiracy theories promoter Orly Taitz.
Orly Taitz frequently makes published assertions that two people who share the same name are the same person (like Barry Soetoro and Soetoro Moestabjab), and in this case Lisa Liberi, Phil Berg’s, associate may be the victim of just such a false association with a New Mexico felon having a similar name.
Also, former webmaster of Orly Taitz’s blog, Lisa Ostella, the recipient of all sorts of accusations related to the handling of former Orly blogs and the funneling of PayPal donations, is suing. We’ve reported here on the Ostella accusations before.
A complaint was filed and it looks like a request for a temporary restraining order. The full list of plaintiffs are: LISA LIBERI, PHILIP J. BERG, THE LAW OFFICES OF PHILIP J. BERG, EVELYN ADAMS [“MommaE”], LISA M. OSTELLA and GO EXCEL GLOBAL with defendants: ORLY TAITZ, DEFEND OUR FREEDOMS FOUNDATIONS, INC., YOSEF TAITZ, THE SANKEY FIRM, SANKEY INVESTIGATIONS, INC., NEIL SANKEY, JAMES SUNDQUIST, ROCK SALT PUBLISHING, LINDA SUE BELCHER, EDGAR HALE, CAREN HALE, PLAINS RADIO NETWORK, BAR H FARMS, KPRN AM 1610 [Plains Radio].
Can we expect a few more hundred thousand Social Security numbers posted on Orly’s site for every business or person with the word “Rock” in it?
This makes the second major blow to Orly Taitz in as many weeks, following a massive complaint against her filed with the California Bar Association for a broad range of misconduct.
Thanks to commenter mimi for the tip from Politijab.com. We’ll be following this one.
Taitz, Hale Complaint 05 04 2009
While the lawsuit sheds a little light on the 3 involved nObama communities, and at last discloses the privately known identity of Linda Starr, late of the ObamaCrimes web site, still it raises as many questions as it answers. This is one case, I think, where the participants would do well to settle out of court.
Orly Taitz is an AIPAC shill, fraud , fake as evidenced by her attempt to sideline any other certifiable attempt to investigate anything.

Cool. Just when I thought my favorite entertainment passtime was starting to go stale…
Wasn’t that complaint a deliciously amusing read?
The Angry Villagers turning on each other with their pitchforks and torches!
Looks like Oily and ‘ol Ed are in deep doo doo this time, this may be one of the few successful law suits for Berg!
While an interesting peek into the inner workings of ‘Birfistan’, I feel sorry for Lisa Liberi and wish she would have gotten herself a better attorney as she honestly has a good case.
This one is not going to be dismissed for lack of standing. I don’t think he’ll collect the half billion that he’s asking for, though.
Orly and her husband, though, are not without resources. Phil, Evelynn and the two Lisa’s may soon be co-owners of a Dental practice.
Hey you never know. Even a blind squirrel…
C’mon, AIPAC has standards. Like ’em or hate ’em, they wouldn’t get within a million miles of Orly.
My favorite part is she felt compelled to keep the Chair of Joint Chiefs Admiral Mullen informed of her rantings.
No surprise the Conspiracy Theorists turn on each other. When PayPal accounts are involved, look out!
I feel sorry for the Federal Judge assigned to read through this crap.
Unfortunately, Berg has already screwed up; any 2nd year law student could spot the problem. Case will be dismissed for failure of jurisdiction.
It is true, that Lisa L. has a good case to bring. A competent lawyer wouldn’t make such an obvious blunder.
Probably AIPAC would not get within a million miles of Orly, but Orly got inside AIPAC as recently as 2006. See http://www.washingtonjewishweek.com/main.asp?SectionID=4&SubSectionID=4&ArticleID=4952&TM=86380.5
An excerpt from the article, which deals with AIPAC concerns about possible repercussions from charges that two former AIPAC staffers received and passed along classified information.
Orly Taitz of Laguna Niguel, Calif., believes there might be a short-term backlash against the organization.
“However, in the long run,” said Taitz, 45, “I do not believe there will be a serious effect.”
You are assuming of course that Orly and her co-defendants are smart enough to realize that and move for dismissal on venue/jurisdictional grounds. That’s giving WAAAAAAY too credit. Based on what I’ve seen, Orly missed the online lecture on jurisdiction and has probably never thought to crack open the Code and take a look at 28 USC 1391.
Poor Orly, she is so misunderstood and worse, this is distracting her from organizing the Militia revolution.
Bummer… Of course, this time she can show how good a lawyer she really is.
Should she be worried?
Maybe Orly is an alien.
I’m assuming that one of the other named defendants might be smart enough to hire his own lawyer. Orly can’t represent them anyway – she isn’t admitted to practice in the ED of Pennsylvania – so she could represent herself pro se but couldn’t enter an appearance on behalf of the others. They are going to have to hire counsel.
Well, Orly is over on her blog digging herself an even deeper hole, so how smart can she be? And the others have hitched their wagons to Orly, so how smart could they be? Your assumptions are based on the “reasonable person” test, dear friend Expelliarmus. LOL.

Fear is a powerful motivator… especially where potential loss of money is involved.

So the new counsel moves to dismiss, and Berg re-files in California, and then Orly can represent them all. Wouldn’t that be fun? Oh, but then Berg has to hire a lawyer. Hmmm.
And when someone publishes your name and your address and your phone number and where you (used to) work on a web site frequented by people calling for citizen grand juries, and citizen militias, that certainly raises a tacit threat and adds a chilling effect to the discussion of ideas and facts.
This is also a good one. A letter to Senator Cornyn here in Texas. Note that the email was sent to a ‘donotreply’ email address. Oops

donotreply. orly was always good for a laugh. now i just feel sorry for her and really bad for her kids.
And Linda Belcher speaks…and digs herself in deeper as well:

Enjoy!
Odd URL there.
Ooops!
Belcher’s post:

As many of us suspected the good doctor is trying to link President Obama to Lisa Liberi(the one who is a felon). She seems to think,if I understand the good doctor, that Lisa Liberi was planted with Berg and somehow has been involved with all the Obama addresses she has found. She is looking for evidence. It will be interesting to see what kind of fantasy she creates with this.
I am bewildered that as an attorney she is not exercising her right to remain silent. She must think it’s helping. Whereas, Ed ” Bigfoot Hunter” Hale says he’s going to stay off the air until the case is over. Evidently Ed has found good counsel.
Orly has to my best understanding no real experience in litigation. I doubt that she has even got to argue any meaningful case in court.
Taitz is looking for a lawyer.
And a reader relies (not entire comment…see Bob’s link for entire comment):
“Maybe Dick Cheney will Help says:
May 12, 2009 at 2:17 pm
Maybe ex VP Dick Cheney might want to be involved in one of the cases?”
Ya, not even Dick Cheney is nuts enough to go near Orly with a 50 foot pole.
Obama promised to unite people. Here Obama is dividing crazy conspiracy kook from other crazy conspiracy kooks. Surely you regret supporting Obama now that he created a civil war among mentally ill, incompetent American lawyers.
Just show the certified video of you being born on American continental soil to 2 white Americans Obama, and this can all go away!
ROTFL
How ironic.
This case is certainly heating up. One source of heat is defendant Ed Hale’s PlainsRadio.com where he has been publishing comparison signatures to show that New Mexico felon Lisa Liberi is the same person as plaintiff Lisa Liberi.
http://www.plainsradio.com/l4.html
I take no position on the merits of the case.
Orly Taitz has defaulted in her reply to Berg. She waited until the latest possible minute to Fed Ex a reply to Berg’s office only, and even that arrived after deadline. She completely failed to send it electronically to the court. She’s backtracking her claims on her blog today.
When you’re an idiot, but love the attention…..

FactSpell Checking OrlyThis is an article (not a comment) from one of Orly’s supporters published on Orly’s blog:
When ya think it can’t get worse. She has placed the Social Secrity numbers of Barak Obama and anyone that has a similar name to Barak Obama on her blog!
http://www.orlytaitzesq.com/blog1/?p=1828#comments
With last 4 digits blocked out. Of course her understanding that these databases are often full of false positives and unverified data is quite telling.
I use a database such as this all of the time and you can never accept it as 100% correct. Further, just because someone has a similar name and lives near doesn’t make them the same person you are looking for!
Nuh Uh. Anyone named anything close to Barack is him for sure! So is anything close to Soetoro. Plus her folks are all in a tizzy that someone at Harvard said they called him Barry! Oooo, another AKA, it’s soooo suspicious, and he didn’t declare it on his bar application. Don’t they get that Barack being called Barry is a nickname like Bobby for Robert, Tommy for Thomas, Jimmy for James? Oh, Gawd, they don’t understand that do they? Where do these people live and work? The collective lot of them don’t have the common sense of a 12 year old. Now when they talk about how the Nigerian email scammers and the Bernie Madoffs make so much money in the US, we can understand how that is. People really are this stupid.
