“Obama Times” added to the Bad list

H/t to Orly Taitz for a link to the “Obama Times,” a blog with a massive number of anti-Obama articles started in 2009. Its articles appear primarily to consist of links to stories at other web sites. While not a pure birther play, it has birther linked content, for example:

The site is operated by “Don the Kook” who describes himself as a “Patriotic American” from Dallas, Texas.

In fact, in the 204 articles posted by Don the Kook since July 1, 2014, there has only been one comment not written by Don the Kook:

Alinsky would never have been stupid enough to say this. More right-wing claptrap

Such a sad, lonely site he has there. Its like a more run down “Davidson Conspiracy”.

We moved to Dallas from Minnesota last year. It’s like living on another planet!

Condolences. It’s bad enough in Okieland. Can’t imagine living farther south. Geographically, meteorologically, or (horrors!) culturally.

JPotter — our granddaughter went to OU for her freshman year — had to give it up and transfer to UT — she had no idea that the Baptists control everything in Okie land.

Not a tree or a Jew,
    To block the lovely view,
    There’s a racetrack and a zoo,
    And Oral Roberts U!

I wonder if you can confirm this story I heard a few years back.

I understand that there is a seasonal northerly wind (i.e. from north to south) that Texans always complain to Oklahoma about. I heard somewhere that meteorologists have determined that there is a low pressure area that just sorta sits over Texas and stays there at that time of year.

So scientifically, the problem isn’t so much that Oklahoma blows, its more that Texas sucks.

    Is that about right?

I always find it rather odd that mot of those who would want to destroy your President call themselves “patriotic”.

Lupin: I always find it rather odd that most of those who would want to destroy your President call themselves “patriotic”.

In fact, most of them want to destroy the country as it is now (to go back to the precious pre-Civil War times). Just look at all the (birther) theories that, if true, would put the country in chaos (“all laws signed by Obama are void”), put the troops in harms’ way (“carrying out Obama’s orders is a war crime”), allow foreign countries to determine who can be President (“Obama lost his citizenship due to Indonesian law”) etc. Add that to the Putin adoration from the right, the constant attempts to abuse the Constitution to subvert people’s rights in violation of the 9th Amendment… Awful.

The problem is their patriotism is towards the warped version of the US (and the Constitution) that exists in their mind, just like many so-called “Christians” are following a warped version of Christianity that they have made up.

Keith, Actually, the way that I heard it is that the reason Texas is so windy is that Oklahoma sucks and Mexico blows.

  12. Bob says:

New Mexico: so close to Heaven, so close to Texas

    An excellent analogy!
