Republicans pray for Orly Taitz — to lose!

Taitz opponent Damon Dunn

The one question that is on the minds of Americans, coast to coast is: “Can Orly Taitz win?” While Taitz’s advertising budget reaches just north of absolute zero, her personal appearances at every Republican gathering that would let her in, has not gone unnoticed.

“For professional Republicans right now, the main tactic in regards to Orly Taitz is prayer,” said Jack Pitney, a political science professor at Claremont McKenna College and a longtime observer of California politics.

Reports Politico.com.

One by one, Orly has racked up endorsements from the fringes of her party. There are no polls for these minor races and the difference between victory and defeat could be simple name recognition. (When was Dunn ever on The Comedy Channel?)

TPM Muckraker reports:

The longtime Birther agitator and dentist who is now running for the GOP secretary of state nomination in California was a “special guest” of the Republican Jewish Coalition at the group’s “annual summer bash” at the Beverly Hills Hilton Sunday. Also in attendance: GOP heavyweights Republican Jewish Coalition, former Senator Norm Coleman, and California Senate candidates Chuck DeVore and Carly Fiorina.

The program for the event, touted by Taitz on her website, lists about 15 “Special Guests” including Coleman, Reps. Connie Mack (R-FL), Mary Bono Mack (R-CA), Edward Royce (R-CA), and Taitz. Speakers included Rove, who gave the keynote and Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) (with whom Taitz is already acquainted).

Add to that the luck of the draw: Orly is listed first on the ballot! Taitz is listed as an attorney, Dunn a Real Estate Agent.

In Georgia, where the polls are closed, former state lawmaker Tom Graves, who had the backing of the Atlanta Tea Party, has won a special election for a House seat left vacant by long-time Republican Rep. Nathan Deal, who stepped down to run for governor. Graves, 40, will fill the remainder of Deal’s term.

It’s fate.

You seem to be very worried over this strange lady. – I say there is no way that she wins, with or without prayer.

Honestly, I think you are degrading yourself when you post about her.

if Orly loses she gets a years supply of Kleenex to cry into, if she wins, I get the Kleenex

scott brown: “You seem to be very worried …”, this is an example of projection, commonly used by wingnuts and birthers. (another example: why are you afraid of Palin,) So besides making up stories and plagiarizing, scott also does projections, what a silly girl.

You should be flattered. I’m increasing my Orly Taitz coverage JUST FOR YOU.

Well, I’m amusing myself, but I guess that’s not really disagreeing with you.

And it appears that Orly was spanked 75% to 25%. Seems there aren’t enough teabaggers, birthers, and folks who just check off the first name on the list to push Olry even into a close race

I won’t need the Kleenex, latest count shows
    dunn 202,182 73.8%
    Orly 71,943 26.3%

Her reaction should certainly be interesting. I wonder how many lawsuits she’ll file.

Her reaction will be predictable: the election was rigged.

Seems a little early to call it though. Frinstance, they haven’t counted Orange County yet.

Well, her website is already littered with accusations of fraud, or alternatively, ways to disqualify Dunn. Seems this “constitutional attorney” doesn’t care much for election results…perhaps that’s something she learned while living in the USSR?

Obama got to Dunn and Dunn is an undercover KGB plant working to undermine her patriotic cause… Wait for it wait for it…

Hey now — I’m a tea-party and 9/12 member, and I think Orly Taitz is a nut bag. Brilliant, but a nut. I voted for Damon Dunn without a second thought.

Thanks for sharing! Good to know.

Well, I don’t think I could classify Orly as “brilliant” by any means (her consistent and repeated basic filing mistakes on the simplest of issues to comprehend, both in her court cases and her SOS application, smacks of major ineptitude and bumbling to me).

However, I think you’ve made a very important point that Orly only appeals to a very small, small sub-segment of the populace. Even though she constantly tries to attend Tea Party and 9/12 functions and associates herself with those movements, as you have verified, there are many in the Tea Party that think she’s nuts too.

Even among the “birthers”, who she is often viewed as the most prominent leader (the “Queen Bee” as she is often called), there is a good segment of that population who think she’s a detriment to their cause at best, or full on crazy.

While she is definitely entertaining, I seriously think she needs some major professional help.
