Another WorldNetDaily columnist comes out in support of LTC Terry Lakin

Former judge Roy S. Moore

Roy S. Moore, who writes a weekly Wednesday column for WorldNetDaily, has come out in support of LTC Terry Lakin’s military disobedience because of doubts where Barack Obama was born. In typical WorldNetDaily style, Moore was interviewed by WND and the reader was not informed that Moore is a columnist for the web site. Rather, Moore was introduced only as the former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. WND said:

Moore said he’s seen no convincing evidence that Obama is a “natural born citizen” and a lot of evidence that suggests he is not.

Former Judge Moore is better known as the judge who was removed from office for refusing to carry out a federal court order to remove his Ten Commandments monument from the state judicial building. Moore now runs the Foundation for Moral Law, an organization that advocates a greater role for religion in public life. Moore served in the Vietnam War as a military police commander. Moore is the author of the book, So Help Me God: The Ten Commandments, Judicial Tyranny, and the Battle for Religious Freedom and also mounted an unsuccessful bid to be Alabama’s governor in 2006.

The actual WND interview is difficult to follow, being more WND birth certificate talking points with little more than a few sound bites from Moore dropped in from time to time. In this typically long WND article, titled “Battle-scarred judge says Lakin decision ignores Constitution” there is really very little from Moore himself. It appears, however, that Moore sees a parallel between his own ouster from the Alabama Supreme Court and Judge Lind’s decision to exclude Obama’s eligibility as a defense; Moore says his ouster as the result of someone blindly following orders, what Lakin has refused to do.

See, James, this is an example of an activist judge with no respect for the constitution, and who prefers fascism and a theocracy to American democracy. He is more like the Taliban than the founding fathers.
You should want to spank him.

  2. AnotherBird says:

Roy S. Moore reminds me of those Christian who prompt the 10 Commandments in daily life, and is will to break one for any reason. “… a lot of evidence that suggests he (Obama) is not”, is just a lie. I wonder how many times he asks for forgiveness in a day.

  3. Daniel says:

Let’s see. Moore lost his job for being stupid, and Lakin is standing trial for being stupid. Moore was ignorant of the constitution, and relevant laws, but should have known better, and Lakin is ignorant of the constitution, and relevant laws, but should have known better….

    My goodness, there ARE parallels

I had a similar feeling after exchanging some e-mails with Bill Keller a while back. When I pointed out his lies, with links to reliable evidence, he ignored it. I pointed out to him that one of the Ten Commandments which he professes to hold so dear is a prohibition against bearing false witness.

  5. richCares says:

Moore’s supporter on the 10 commandments thing was interviewed by Colbert, when Colbert asked him to list (name) the 10 commandments he only got to the first 3. Moral of the story, you don’t have to know them to believe in them.

  6. Arthur says:

Of all the sickening characters who have been described on this website, Moore is the one who makes me the sickest . . . I’ve sat here for ten minutes trying to find the words that would explain why, and I can’t. He simply has about him the patina of hidden perversion.

All those bible thumpers are hypocrites, with a closet full of skeletons.

Yeah, that would be Congresscritter Lynn Westmoreland of GA, R(-eprobate).

He described Mrs. Obama as “uppity” in the fall of 2008, then lied and said he’d never heard the term used as a racial slur.

I’m younger than he is, but we both grew up in the South, me for less time that him. I can assure you that he’s either a liar or a victim of a massive head injury if he believes his own line of racist babble.

I’m going with liar, since I wouldn’t wish a massive head wound on anyone.

I believe that’s true. Those woo merchants always condemn the sins they feel guiltiest about and have the hardest time obeying. For Moore, those would be the commandments against adultery, covetousness, and bearing false witness.

General Petraeus is following his orders and serving his country with pride, why don’t you do the same”

    it never appeared.

  13. Black Lion says:

The JAG Hunter himself, former Navy guy Fitzpatrick is still up to crazy, this time with his rambling and barely lucid post over at the Post and Fail….

“America is engulfed in a national peacetime emergency over the standing and stature of the U.S. Constitution. The outcome of the ongoing conflict–escalating in each passing moment–will either renew us as a Nation of Laws or make plain we’ve become instead a nation of lawyers, a nation oppressed by men.”

“As you read these words Obama and his team are working frantically in these first days of power-consumption in efforts Obama describes as the “beginning of the end” of the U.S. Constitution.

We all heard Obama striking the match.

    Mr. Obama wasn’t born a U.S citizen.

Federal government officials of every description know with certainty Mr. Obama was born in Mombasa, Kenya. These same officials prepare every day for the foreseeable firestorm combats that will pit supporters of the Constitution against Obama and his followers.”

That is very direct. I thought that they would have liked to rebut dissenting comments just to bolster their position. Well it seems that they only want supportive comments for Lakin.

  15. Black Lion says:

Speaking of WND, here is an ad advocating “civil war”….If so interesting….

Ad on WND Calls for ‘Civil War’
    Topic: WorldNetDaily

This interesting ad popped up on WorldNetDaily (via Google ads) over the weekend:

That’s right — it’s claiming that “Only A Civil War Will Save America — But Only If It Comes Soon!”

The ad links to a website promoting a book called “It’s Over” by R. Keith Martin, aka Ron Martin. Martin reprints the book’s introduction, which includes this:

America is terminal and its demise is not the result of Al Gore’s global warming or Michael Moore’s phantom conspiracies. Neither is it Iran’s nuke(s), Putin’s reconstituted USSR or China rising. It’s an “in house job” by people whose names you have come to know, but really don’t know at all. For the past 100 years or so they have been called liberals, progressives, statists, communists, Nazis, fascists, socialists, leftists and, most recently, Democrats. Regardless of how Webster defines each of these belief systems they all share the same dream: dismantling our 234 year old democratic republic and replacing it with a serfdom ruled by oligarchic elitists. For simplicity, I will combine all nine of these evils into one and simply call it the “Darkside”, as in Star Wars. Unlike the movie, there is no Darth Vader coming after you, and no Luke Skywalker to save you, and sadly, the good guys don’t win in the end.

    […]

I am a Yankee who moved to the segregated South in 1958. I saw the court-ordered end of segregation only to see it re-imposed later, not by the process of law, but by the very people who wanted it to end. I argue that the re-introduction of segregation by the black elite is really a control technique to keep the elite in perpetual power, which it has done. My real ultimate destination in bringing you the “Black Imbroglio” is Obama. Were it not for the inculcated guilt of whites, absorbed from a society dripping with it, and the black elitists institutionalizing black dependency, Obama would never have progressed beyond community organizer.

But, Obama did progress, and he is President. If he was just another black liberal pushing welfare programs or other liberal causes like all black politicians I would not have spent the last year cloistered with my computer. Obama is dangerous – crash and burn dangerous. The deeper and deeper I dug into the Obama machine, and the Darkside, the greater I realized just how much trouble America is in. We have simply never faced such an array of problems, or had to depend for our rescue from the precipice, on someone that is pulling the lifeline away from us as we reach for it. What is even more amazing is that is seems that nobody, or at least very few, really believe that we are very near the point of collapse. What Obama is doing routinely on a daily basis, no other President would have even attempted. Bill Clinton came closest to this chronic criminality with the FBI files scandal, White House Travel Office, Vince Foster, and numerous others, but nothing compared to what Obama and the Darkside are doing every day in every part of his administration.

Martin’s book has chapter titles such as “Homosexuals,” “The Second Reconstruction,” “White Racism Is Rare, Black Racism Is Raging,” “The Madhi Cometh,” “Body Count Thus Far,” “The Final Solution,” “The Coming Demicide,” and, yes, “Why Obama Must Murder You.”

There appears to be little about Martin on the Internet; the Southern Poverty Law Center notes that he distributed a flyer that discussed subjects such as “Race-Based Tyranny” and “Our Black Imbroglio.”

The SPLC called such rhetoric “inspired” by the racially charged attacks on Obama by Fox News; we would add that WND arguably had a hand in shaping Martin’s Obama-hate worldview.

Conveniently omitting the horrors, torture and destruction from the President of the two terms in between Clinton and Obama.

Cheap hit piece from another fright wing bigot.

Of course…You know for the so called right or WND crowd, Bush was the best President since Reagan….The bailout, even though Bush signed off on it it was Obama’s fault. Afganistan, even though that and Iraq were Bush wars, it is somehow Obama’s war now. 9/11, that was on Clinton. This is how they think. Amazing….

I think of it as the Rove/Cheney/Wolfowitz Presidency while Bush enjoyed more vacations than any President in history beating Reagan’s record.
