Taitz on Capitol Hill

Orly Taitz was in DC last week petitioning Congress. Salon.com did an article with some details. Do you imagine that Salon got a different slant on the visit from congressional staffers than what Orly wrote on her web site?

Allen West’s spokeswoman tells me that Taitz’s account of her conversation with West’s chief of staff is "absolutely false." The spokeswoman also points to West’s statement to Birthers that they should focus on Obama’s policies rather than his citizenship status.

Here’s a link to Salon.com articles on the birthers.

Doc, I believe Sen. Lindsey Graham is on the Senate Judiciary Committee. You should contact Sen. Graham’s office to offer an opposing point of view through testimony before the committee.

I’d be glad to help you with your written statement.

… lil’ Barry Soetoro returned to Hawai`i as an unaccompanied minor in 1971 …

    that is a complete BS

Obama was never a foster child

by the way, where is his Indonesian citizenship documentation?

Where is proof, that he returned to US as an Indonesian citizen in 1971? show me a shred of evidence of what you are claiming

Who’s calling you a liar? Queen of the Birthers Orly Taitz? OUCH!

Why would Doc.C. need anybody’s help in preparing a statement? He is perfectly capable of speaking and writing for himself, as this blog clearly illustrates.

Why would the Senate Judiciary Committee, under the leadership of Democratic Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont hold hearings on any issue concerning Barack Obama’s eligiblity?

Is there some law somwhere that said that an unaccompanied minor was not allowed to travel to the state of his birth from Indonesia in 1971?

October 31, 2008 statement by Dr. Chiyome Fukino, Director of Health, State of Hawaii:
“There have been numerous requests for Sen. Barack Hussein Obama’s official birth certificate. State law (Hawaii Revised Statutes §338-18) prohibits the release of a certified birth certificate to persons who do not have a tangible interest in the vital record.
Therefore, I as Director of Health for the State of Hawaii, along with the Registrar of Vital Statistics who has statutory authority to oversee and maintain these type of vital records, have personally seen and verified that the Hawaii State Department of Health has Sen. Obama’s original birth certificate on record in accordance with state policies and procedures.
No state official, including Governor Linda Lingle, has ever instructed that this vital record be handled in a manner different from any other vital record in the possession of the State of Hawaii.”

  5. Senator Graham is on record calling the birther’s crazy. He doesn’t need any help from me.

Orly latest plea for Pay Pal donations uses this quotation from Thomas Jefferson:

“WHEN THE PEOPLE FEAR THEIR GOVERNMENT,THERE IS TYRANNY. WHEN THE GOVERNMENT FEARS THE PEOPLE,THERE IS LIBERTY.”

The only problem is that there is no evidence that Jefferson ever said it.

That Thomas Jefferson quote has been on Taitz’s home page for as long as I can remember.

Here’s the exact quote: “I’m here to tell you that those who think the president was not born in Hawaii are crazy,” Graham said at a “First Draft of History” conference sponsored by The Atlantic, The Aspen Institute and the Newseum in Washington.

Thanks I’ve been looking for that page for months. I lost it somehow and couldn’t get back to it.

There is an equally egregious fake Jefferson quote about Democracy being mob rule. It appears to have originated with some sovereignist back in the early 00’s who put it into a book and forged the attribution.

The government has filed a Motion to Dismiss in Taitz v. Ruemmler. It is brief and to the point. The White House Counsel is exempt from FOIA, so Orly has no case. PDF file here:

Sorry again. I’m not spamming on purpose, I keep hitting enter too soon (too bad we can’t edit these comments, then again that’s probably a good thing). This is the last one I promise.

Kock Brothers flout law getting richer with secret Iran sales

I’m kinda assuming that this will start to open some folks eyes as to the source of these astroturfing campaigns. The Kochheads will be climbing the walls when that source dries up. I suspect that more than a couple of the usual suspects will just go away, but then again the Brothers will find a way I suppose, depressing as that sounds
