Santorum endorses the antichrist

I was just saying some nice things about Rick Santorum’s not pandering to birthers. What a shock to learn that Santorum issued a press release announcing a group of endorsements he received, and among those endorsers is none other than the birther antichrist, Joseph Farah. . I assume that we may understand Santorum’s advertising these endorsements as a kind of endorsing the endorsers.

Farah certainly qualifies for the antichrist position because the antichrist is at the most basic level a liar, and Farah and his online web site WorldNetDaily has been the most prolific purveyor of lies and misinformation about Barack Obama and his eligibility to be President. Farah once bragged that he had created the birther movement, and by doing so condemning millions of Americans to the anxiety of a living hell every day.

Well, have you also seen his non-response, or rather letting the question stand while answering it in his own political eliding way, with a little quirk of the side of his mouth, when asked about getting the President out of office because President Obama is supposed to be Muslim and does not belong in office?

  2. Daniel says:

It’s not just about Obama that Farrah lies, but rather about pretty much everything.

Farrah has made a lot of money over many years by being the Jack Chick of Internet Christian Porn (porn being stories of SI-In that “good” Christians use to get all hot and horny about).

  3. Farah knew that, of those who bought the Weekly World News, many were not in on the joke.

  4. G says:

Yeah, very disappointing development. Shame on Santorum for accepting scumbag Farah’s endorsement.

The last three paragraphs of the article made some important points:

I emailed the Santorum campaign asking for his stance on birtherism and got no reply.

But the reasons are not too hard to figure out. Conservatives and Republicans play this game—where they stay above the fray and wink at others who do their dirty work—all the time. From the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth’s lies about John Kerry to birtherism, Republicans and conservatives, even seemingly responsible ones, rely upon people such as Joseph Farah to keep their base angry.

And if ever there were evidence that the media has no liberal bias, just look at how this issue has been ignored. Can you imagine the reaction if a Democratic candidate for president bragged of being endorsed by, say, Noam Chomsky, never mind an actual bigot and liar like Joseph Farah?

Here is a good and telling observation of how Santorum let a lie pass, and even defended himself for doing so:

Santorum is playing False Prophet to Joe “No Wonder People Are Confused” Farah’s Antichrist. Lovely. Got to take who you can get, and Newt had already klocked up the Palins.

The ignorance and bias of these hecklers is astounding. Someone should be removed from gov’t because of their religious preference? If that is indeed their belief, why aren’t they railing against actual Muslims in gov’t service at all levels? This would keep them very busy. I am sure they are honest and consistent bigots, and they are busily opposing all Muslims in gov’t, and these brief moments are their highest profile activities.

Is Obama the Antichrist? Lisa Miller – NEWSWEEK

    Is Obama the Antichrist?

The winning lottery number in Illinois was 666, which, as everyone knows, is the sign of the Beast.

From the magazine issue dated Nov 24, 2008

On Nov. 5, Todd Strandberg was at his desk, fielding E-mails from around the world. As the editor and founder of RaptureReady.com, his job is to track current events and link them to biblical prophecy in hopes of maintaining his status as “the eBay of prophecy,” the best source online for predictions and calculations concerning the end of the world. Already Barack Obama had drawn the attention of apocalypse watchers after an anonymous e-mail circulated among conservative Christians in October implying that he was the Antichrist. Former “Saturday Night Live” ingénue Victoria Jackson fueled the fire when, according to news reports, she wrote on her Web site that Obama “bears traits that resemble the anti-Christ.”

Now Strandberg was receiving up-to-the-minute news from his constituents in Illinois. One of the winning lottery numbers in the president-elect’s home state was 666— which, as everyone knows, is the sign of the Beast (also known as the Antichrist). “It is very eerie, and I take it for a sign as to who he really is,” wrote one of Strandberg’s correspondents.
