Appealing Dentistry

That’s the name of Orly Taitz’s dental practice, appealing is also her practice in court (I don’t find her personally appealing). According to her blog, Orly has filed suit in Fulton County Georgia Superior Court on behalf of Farrar (and the rarely mentioned Lax, Judy and Roth) as well as a petition to appear pro hac vice (since she’s not licensed to practice in Georgia).  The case number is 2012CV211398 and the judge is Cynthia Wright.

I hope that pro hac petition has more pages than she has on her blog (i.e., more than just the cover page). One of the requirements of the application in Georgia is:

whether the applicant (a) has been denied admission pro hac vice in this state, (b) had admission pro hac vice revoked in this state, or (c) has otherwise formally been disciplined or sanctioned by any court in this state. If so, specify the nature of the allegations; the name of the authority bringing such proceedings; the caption of the proceedings; the date filed; and what findings were made and what action was taken in connection with those proceedings;

Let’s see what she says.

She filed this “on behalf of Farrar”?

Is this still news to Farrar, or did they make up?

  2. justlw says:

I find it very disturbing that Orly has prominently featured the name, and extensive contact info — and photos! — for the judge assigned to the appeal.

On the semi-amusing side, the first picture of the judge shows her smiling broadly, but after one scrolls down through a wad of Orlyspeak, the next photo shows her in pretty much the same pose, but having a much more tight-lipped expression. I expected to page down further and see a full-blown scowl, or something conveying the inevitable “wtf?”

  3. Thinker says:

When this judge rules against them, I wonder what random coincidence or 3rd-degree separation from President Obama birfers will latch on to as the reason for her ruling…anything to avoid admitting that neither the facts nor the law are on their side.

  4. Joe Acerbic says:

“Cynthia Wright” is clearly some kind of muslim name… :-/

  5. Northland10 says:

    FIFY

  6. Arthur says:

But Doc, you don’t understand–Judge Land is a traitor and Obama is a usurper, so any so-called “sanctions” don’t really count against Orly and need not be reported because they were obviously the result of intimidation from Chicago thugs . . . or because of bribes. Definitely threats or bribes. Maybe both . . . yeah.

  7. Joe Acerbic says:

…and because the judge used Sharia Law! SHARIA LAW!

The attacks on her are predictable.

  10. Joe Acerbic says:

Judge Wright is white though. If she were African-American, it would get REAL ugly real quick.

Since we already know how this is going to turn out, all that means is that it’ll get real ugly just a little slower.

  12. Joe Acerbic says:

Holy crap. It’s going to get even uglier.

  13. donna says:

    YUP!!!!!!!!

    YUP!!!!!!!!

That shooting was in 2003; you’re implying the birthers will go nuts over her personal life? Probably right.

  15. donna says:

    over her personal life?

they are still questioning whether malihi is married, children, religion, etc

one such post: Who is Judge Michael Malihi? When was he born? Where was he born? Who are his parents? Does he have siblings? Is he married? Does he have children? Don’t you folks find it just a little interesting that we know all of the above info on all the other Georgia judges…….but not him? Why is that?

Is he a Sunni like Obama?

They’re shameless and desperate to explain his decision, it certainly isn’t based on Orly’s magnificent case. I saw your link to the shooting story and thought you may have thought she had been shot today! It is coincidentally a Monday. Thankfully, flying monkeys have a low top speed.*

    * Mental and physical.

  17. Thanks for the heads up, Donna.

  18. donna says:

this is the scuttlebutt: “Cynthia Wright is gay woman judge who was shot by her own lover in her own driveway and now treats all women as if they are perpetrators, rather than potential victims.”

  19. ASK Esq says:

I’d think the line of attack on Judge Wright would be obvious. Immediately after the loss, Orly will be asking her minions to find proof that she is related to Rev.Jeremiah Wright.

  20. donna says:

i don’t know of other seek and destroy missions on judges – in my experience, i cared about my adversary and the judges’ opinions and appeals – i never thought to look in their underwear drawers – WHO KNEW???

  21. John Potter says:

My question is … why wait until after the ruling to go looking for the dirt?!? What good is leverage / harrassment after a loss? If you appeal, you’re not going before the same judge again! Good grief, this is covered in detail in Advanced Thuggery 201.

Haven’t they been studying their Saul Alinksy? 😉

For the most part I don’t think they’re really looking for leverage. I’m sure in their heart of hearts they know they can’t really affect a judge and don’t want an excuse for a mistrial because of their shenanigans.

They’re just trying to sell this to their supporters and perhaps have an avenue for appeal.

  23. donna says:

i don’t think it’s leverage – speaking only for taitz now, she has wright’s photo and bio up on her website (like a neon sign) and saying nothing else about her – as i’ve been studying her, she does things in “code” – when she “asks” for money, “someone” will post a comment on her site like “it must cost a lot flying to hawaii (5 times)” and then she replies with how much things cost – yesterday she ranted about klayman and the $12+k he needs and slipped in how much the ga appeal cost her so far – she would NEVER criticize wright NOW, BEFORE the appeal – she’s setting things up for WHEN SHE LOSES –

  24. G says:

I suspect that a good number of them are really just cynical smear artists and simply hope that by pursuing these cases, they can somehow publicly embarrass, humiliate or otherwise tarnish Obama – period. That is their ulterior motive, over realistically thinking they can win these cases.

Those disingenuous folks simply are looking for any angle they can use; where they think they can attempt to somehow “put him in his place” and also attempt to somehow hurt or suppress his voter turnout in the fall…

They are simply looking for any foothold of attention they can get and hoping it can give them some sort of foothold to rally broader support behind them.

They seem to magically think that if only they had the numbers, their mere opinions and desires would somehow trump actual laws and then they could dictate their “will” on Obama and America…

  25. It won’t matter in the long run. The ruling will be appealed, whatever it is.

    donna: this is the scuttlebutt

  26. Rickey says:

    Joe Acerbic:

I don’t know if Orly has yet figured out that Judge Wright is a Democrat. She worked for Senator Sam Nunn, Governor George Busbee and Governor Zell Miller. Miller is now working for Republicans but he was a Democrat in good standing when Judge Wright worked for him.

  27. justlw says:

So Dr. Taitz has now confronted Newt at a rally, asking him to carry the birther banner, saying how awesome it would be for him to be associated with the likes of her.

Saith she, “Somebody who wouldn’t be good enough, who wouldn’t be certified to pick tomatoes or clean bathrooms is sitting in the White House.”

    The eft’s response:

“That’s a project you should pursue.” Because, you know, actually saying this is crazy would upset his base.

    So, waiting for the Orlygram:

FUTURE PRESIDENT NEWT GINGRICH SUPPORTS ME! I WON! I WON! I WON!

Well, it sure would be awesome for her. Thus far, Newt has been willing to entertain, accept, and trumpet any endorsement. But will he go the full Orly? He does have the makings of a Birther thought leader. Already experienced at spinning history in print!

  29. G says:

Any link to confirm this story?

If she still has any dental patients, I’m wondering why any would still stick around as patients when she takes so much time either in court or doing birther PR. It’s not like the TV doctors who plan their schedules around their appointments.

  31. justlw says:

Oh lord, and she already has a clipping file going on her website. She is proud of this.

  32. JPotter says:

“Somebody who wouldn’t be good enough, who wouldn’t be certified to pick tomatoes or clean bathrooms is sitting in the White House,” Taitz told Gingrich, reportedly to a mixed reception from the largely Tea Party audience.

justlw: Oh lord, and she already has a clipping file going on her website. She is proud of this.

But where’s the video?!?? It will surface eventually….

  33. G says:

Thanks. That confirms it for me:

Gingrich edged out of a potentially embarrassing exchanged with Orly Taitz , a California dentist who pioneered the “birther” movement questioning whether President Barack Obama had been born in the United States and therefore eligible to be president. Taitz suggested to Gingrich that he should pursue the debunked birther agenda as a way to propel his campaign.

“Somebody who wouldn’t be good enough, who wouldn’t be certified to pick tomatoes or clean bathrooms is sitting in the White House,” Taitz told Gingrich , to gasps and some applause from the tea party audience.

Gingrich demurred and said, “I think I have enough issues to debate Obama with.”

So I’ve always meant to ask: is Appealing Dentistry an intentional pun on her part?

It’s kind of clever, so I assume “no.”

A’peeling the skin right off your gums, is what I heard.

  36. justlw says:

justlw: So, waiting for the Orlygram:

FUTURE PRESIDENT NEWT GINGRICH SUPPORTS ME! I WON! I WON! I WON!

And inevitably, she now proudly cites:

WND: “Gingrich encounters eligibility attorney. Encourages Orly Taitz to hound Barack Obama on eligibility”

JPotter: A’peeling the skin right off your gums, is what I heard.

    Best explanation ever.

Someone on HuffPo said — and it makes perfect sense — that she became a lawyer to handle the dental malpractice suits coming her way. I’m surprised I hadn’t heard that before.

So that makes the pun completely coinci…dental.
