    Love the part about how she thinks the court will not approve the substitution 🙂

  4. Benji Franklin says:

    Hilarious piece on Steve Stockman was published by Time.com on March 4, entitled Seven ways to Lose an Election! It begins: “Steve Stockman’s Senate challenge in Texas is the most baffling display of ineptitude since Alvin Greene”

    http://tinyurl.com/lbswvcl

    How unsurprising that the Mike Volin and Carl Gallup much-trumpeted (and ONLY) HIGHLY INTERESTED CONGRESSMAN for promoting a Congressional investigation of Obama’s absurdly posited document “forgeries”, turns out to be as hopelessly inept a politician as Lady Liberty is a lawyer!

    Mike Volin’s sophomoric, interest-non-garnering “Sheriff’s Kit” incubating in unopened miniature yellow clasp envelopes buried in landfills serving the DC area, is as practical and effective IN LIVING UP TO ITS TITLE as would have been a similar envelope during World War 2 containing a hurriedly drawn pencil sketch of the U.S.S.New Jersey and distributed to charwomen as a BATTLESHIP KIT.

    In a Newsblaze article on March 13th, two more underwhelmed recipients of a Sheriff’s Kit, Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) and Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-Kansas), both of whom are right-wing conservatives and no fans of Obama, were asked if they had been following developments around Sheriff Arpaio’s Cold Case Posse. (the posse which Mike Zullo claimed has determined the image of Obama’s BC posted on the Internet displaying Obama’s birth information and confirmed accurate officially by Hawaii, was a complete “forgery”).

    Rep. Labrador told Newsblaze “I really haven’t been following that issue at all.” Next we talked to Rep. Huelskamp who said almost the same thing – with some additions. He said, “Honestly, I haven’t been following that at all.”
    Rep. Huelskamp did say,.”I just did fifteen town halls in the last couple of months. I don’t think it [the birth certificate] came up at all. .. Not worried about the President…The birth certificate is not an issue that I’ve heard. We’re not receiving any calls or emails …”

    No kidding? Sounds just about like almost every other member of Congress! Nice job, Mike Volin! Were these clowns your V.I.P.’s, Mike Volin?

    What a bunch of lunatics! Volin gets, effectively, ZERO interest in his little usurper play papers, and concludes from that, that every official must be a coward or a traitor! It couldn’t be that HE is wrong!

    How do Birthers miss the fact that their “evidence” confirms criminality or ineligibility on Obama’s part to no greater extent than it proves that Donald Duck is an ill-mannered gynecologist?

  5. RanTalbott says:

    Matt: Love the part about how she thinks the court will not approve the substitution

    She also says “I am waiting for the judge to order discovery”.

    I thought the case had already effectively been dismissed, and they were now negotiating terms of surrender (most notably, whether Orly’s going to be sanctioned again). Wasn’t the last conference (postponed because Orly threw her imaginary friend of the judge into the mix) supposed to be an announcement of what was going into the final order?

  6. The Magic M says:

    RanTalbott: She also says “I am waiting for the judge to order discovery”.

    Of course she is, after all he gave her the impression he’d entertain any conspiracist crap that she relays from her pseudonymous contributors. Her latest folly seems to be an email from someone claiming to work at Google and having been tasked with “downgrading” her pages in the search results. Of course another anonymous “whistleblower” who doesn’t name names.
    BTW whatever happened to that “whistleblower” who was going to send highly important SSA info to Orly?

    http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GNYiZ78EcIo

    I thought it might be helpful to Zullo to give him some additional synonyms for “future” that way he can keep this going for awhile longer.

    “Just around the corner”
    “Imminent”
    “Close at hand”
    “Down the road”
    “In the course of time”
    “Inevitable”
    “From here to eternity”

    On January 20th, 2017, he can just use the word “never”.

  9. Arthur says:

    gorefan: Zullo gives a five minute interview to Gallups. Announcement coming in “the very near future”. Birthers are very excited to have a new time frame.

    Here’s a summary of some things what Zullo said, for those who can’t stand going to B.R. or listening to the lying “Lieutenant.”

    Both investigations going full force, but I can’t discuss them. But trust me, everyone thing is on track. Yes, last November, I set March as a target date, “but apparently . . . we have more information and we are vetting it.” APPARENTLY? You mean, you’re not really sure whether you have more information? Talk about weasel words! But wait, there’s more:

    “In addition, there are other agencies, if you will, involved, and this requires us, maybe, to take some extra time.” IF YOU WILL? WTF? Either other agencies, like the Sheriff’s Office, are involved or they aren’t. I should note, that in a “Clarification” B.R. says “There are no other agencies involved in the investigation process…”

    Anyway, Zullo encourages the faithful to be patient and that there will be an announcement in the very near future. Gallups defends Zullo’s failure to release things by March, but, he says, the conferences and announcements will occur.

    As to why he’s using Gallups, Zullo whines that the CCP website has been hacked, highjacked, and shut down, and he wanted a secure host from which to make announcements. So the CCP website of the MCSO is too unreliable to be used for announcements? Sounds pretty fishy to me.

  10. Crustacean says:

    Will the universe shatter by April 15, or should I still file my tax forms? What are the chances the universe will survive long enough for the government to process my forms and write the small refund check? Will there be enough time left before the universe disintegrates to use my refund to take my wife out for a modest dinner? Please advise.

  12. RanTalbott says:

    Arthur: Gallups defends Zullo’s failure to release things by March, but, he says, the conferences and announcements will occur.

    I haven’t been listening to Gallups much (doctor’s orders: she says my latest blood tests show I’m already getting too much smarm in my diet), but I keep seeing other people refer to “conferences”, not “press conferences”. Is this plausible deniability because they know that they’re not going to get any real “press”, and they’re just going to be webcasting to the faithful, like the last couple? Or are the people mentioning him just dropping the “press” because _they_ know that?

    Or could it be that they’re prepping people for an announcement that they’re dropping the “official law enforcement investigation” sham, and replacing it with a “scholarly research” one?

  13. aarrgghh says:

    “at last there is light at the end of the tunnel.”

    “a new phase is starting .. we have reached an important point where the end begins to come into view.”

    “i think we’re in the end game now. … i think we’re in a six-month window here where it’s going to become very clear and this is all going to pre-empt i think the next congressional election — that’s my own feeling — let alone the presidential one.”

  14. Majority Will says:

    Crustacean:
    Zounds!!

    I was thinking “Zoinks” but not “Gadzooks!”

  15. RanTalbott says:

    Arthur: “In addition, there are other agencies, if you will, involved, and this requires us, maybe, to take some extra time.”

    Translation: he’s hired Dystel and Goderich to promote his new book, and, after their bad experience with Obama, they’re now requiring a fact-checkable bio from their authors.

    The reason for the delay is that their fact-checker is having trouble verifying his hstory as a “vehicular title transfer consultant” and an “average inebriation and combativeness level mitigator”.

  16. Crustacean says:

    Given the CCP’s vehicle registration mess, and the allegation that those vehicles were dented by defenestrated inebriates, I’d say Commander Zero’s track record is as good as ever.

  17. Dave B. says:

    Well, I’m still glad to be here. Or glad to still be here.

  18. Publius says:

    Hope is a strange thing.

    People cling to hope. The birthers, in particular, cling to hope and false promises.

    It kind of reminds me of a scene in “The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.”

    Evil serial murderer has reporter tied up. They have a polite conversation. Evil serial murderer finally says, “Would you like a drink of water?” Reporter says yes. Evil serial murderer then tenderly, kindly gives him a drink of water.

    Then evil serial murderer says, “See? You’re just like everybody else. A simple gesture of human kindness is enough to give you hope.”

    Then evil serial murderer proceeds to hoist reporter from the ground by a rope around his neck and carry on with his plan to murder him.

    The birthers are like that. It doesn’t matter how much they are abused by the likes of Zullo. It doesn’t matter how much BS or how many lies they’ve been told.

    All they need is another smile, another false promise to make them keep believing in the birther myth.

  19. Arthur says:

    RanTalbott: s this plausible deniability because they know that they’re not going to get any real “press”, and they’re just going to be webcasting to the faithful, like the last couple?

    When I heard the word “conferences,” it suggested to me that they would be giving presentations at conferences such as those held by the Constitutional Sheriff’s Association.

  20. Dave B. says:

    One day when love was new, I came home to find the light of my life madder than hell at me, wanting to know what had taken me so long. I was baffled. Turns out I’d told her I’d be home directly, and she thought I meant I was going directly home. Language is a funny thing.

  21. Curious George says:

    Just remember when looking for that Birther beacon at the end of the tunnel, his most reverend Karl Gallows said it may never happen. So go ahead and pick a card, any card and we’ll see if the deck is marked or if anyone on the Birther show is playing with a full deck.

  22. Bonsall Obot says:

    Since they’re in what used to be Mexico, Oberfuhrer Zullo could always say “mañana.”

    Gringos think it means “tomorrow,” but what it really means is “not today.”

  23. Keith says:

    Benji Franklin: How do Birthers miss the fact that their “evidence” confirms criminality or ineligibility on Obama’s part to no greater extent than it proves that Donald Duck is an ill-mannered gynecologist?

    Wait… Donald Duck is a gynecologist? When did that happen?

  24. Benji Franklin says:

    Arthur: “but apparently . . . we have more information and we are vetting it.” APPARENTLY? You mean, you’re not really sure whether you have more information? Talk about weasel words!

    Well, Arthur, you’ve isolated a couple of real dead fish here in your summary of the Galluping Host’s mock-interview-update of Clown Zoo Low.

    Zoo Low says :”we have more information and we are vetting it” ! Translation:”We’ve made up some more legal crap out of whole cloth and we’re looking for somebody we could say is respected who is crazy enough to say our preposterous extra-legal theory of criminality on Obama’s team could POSSIBLY be right.”

    and

    Zoo Low says “In addition, there are other agencies, if you will, involved, and this requires us, maybe, to take some extra time.” Translation: Hoping bureaucracies can be misrepresented as having confirmed anti-Obama legal premises, if their gate-keeper staff make lunatic-deflecting, non-committal statements of unspecified and generic “interest” in written or screamed charges and allegations against Obama, we are submitting a shit-storm of accusatory crap to every conceivable office, public and private in the United States hoping to get one careless response we can claim trumps the Constitution and requires an immediate violent revolution by every patriot who expects to receive a cardboard CCP badge. This may take a little more time than a real investigation.”

    The only involvement from other agencies are refusals to associate with crazy Birthers.

  25. Benji Franklin says:

    Keith: Wait… Donald Duck is a gynecologist? When did that happen?

    He isn’t. It’s SPELLED “gynecologist” but it’s PRONOUNCED “Constitutional dentist”

  26. RanTalbott says:

    Plus, “Duck” shares 3 letters with another word commonly used in association with lady parts.

    Therefore, according to the Doug Vogt Theory of Steagsaurusonagraphy, it must be the signature of the person who forged Donald’s medical license.

    Either that, or he’s made of wood. I’m pretty sure it proves one or the other. Somehow…

  27. Publius says:

    Donald Duck is not ill-mannered. He’s quite respectable.

  28. Bonsall Obot says:

    Publius:
    Donald Duck is not ill-mannered. He’s quite respectable.

    Except for his refusal to wear pants. Other than that, I sympathize with him. He’s surrounded by idiots who won’t get with the program, and it enrages him.

  29. Dave says:

    BR has posted a screenshot of some of the Obot comments he has deleted. I do not understand the advantages of deleting a comment and then posting it as a screenshot, but it does give me the opportunity to note my favorite:

    “Once the 2016 Presidential elections are over we will have a lot more flexibility to release some of the Universe Shattering information.”

  30. Bonsall Obot says:

    At least two RWNJ/Birfers are unironically re-tweeting the slyly hilarious @AttorneyTaitz account on the Twitters. This is my favorite fact of the day.

  31. RanTalbott says:

    Dave: I do not understand the advantages of deleting a comment and then posting it as a screenshot,

    Someone asked about people impersonating Corporal Zullo, et al, so Mr./Ms. BR posted a screenshot of some of the postings under fake names that had been deleted to show that it had really happened.

    I think someone needs to download that image and check it for layers, though.

  32. Bovril says:

    Previously a stealth Obot had pointed out to ORYR/BR that he had posted a screed of bile around a non believer posting….that he had deleted.

    As such his blather of context free nonsense made him look even more guano insane than usual.

    This may be an attempt to come across as…..well…..a cretinous control freak and not just an insane idiot who screams at the shapes he believes he sees in clouds

  33. The European says:

    A bit offtopic, but cited by Dr. Orly – who believes everything on the Internets. And y’all need a good laugh sometimes. So here you are:

  34. Curious George says:

    Put this in the “Pot Calling the Kettle Black” column.

    Our good friend over at BR who goes by the fictional name of a ’70s TV private detective named “Joe Mannix” has taken issue with others who have posted using the same “Joe Mannix” moniker. For those who want to
    know which “Joe Mannix” is the first poster using the pseudonym at BR, simply ask which “Joe Mannix” has the Cave Creek, AZ, I.P. address. That will keep one imposter from being confused with the other imposter.

    “Joe Mannix
    Cassandra I was impersonated 4 times last night by a obot.on the ‘Is Obama A Psychopath’ topic thread. That was a first that happened to me.”

  35. RanTalbott says:

    Bovril: This may be an attempt to come across as…..well…..a cretinous control freak

    Hardly: banning people who pose as birfer public figures is about the only reasonable thing he’s done as a manager. If he’d banned people for parody handles like “Shurf Joke” or “Corporal Zullo” (which he probably has), I’d agree with you.

    Not allowing people to troll through impersonation is doubly important when you’re riding herd on a bunch of gullible conspiracy nuts.

    I think he’s now painted himself into a corner by allowing multiple types of IDs to be used for posting: he can’t prevent people from using alternate ID providers to impersonate, but he can’t shut off the providers because he has too many users who’d be pissed off by having to switch.

    I’d ask him how the view is from atop his petard, but he’s banned me, too 😉

  36. Rickey says:

    An update on Vogt’s SCOTUS petition:

    No. 13-1158
    Title:
    Douglas Vogt, Petitioner
    v.
    United States District Court for the Western District of Washington
    Docketed: March 24, 2014
    Lower Ct: United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit
    Case Nos.: (13-74137)
    Decision Date: January 14, 2014

    ~~~Date~~~ ~~~~~~~Proceedings and Orders~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Mar 24 2014 Petition for a writ of certiorari filed. (Response due April 23, 2014)
    Mar 24 2014 Motion to expedite consideration of the petition for a writ of certiorari and for leave to file an affidavit under seal filed by petitioner.
    Mar 26 2014 Motion DISTRIBUTED for Conference of April 18, 2014.
    Apr 7 2014 Request for recusal received from petitioner.
    Poor Vogt. He doesn’t realize that his petition has been dead filed.
  37. John Reilly says:
    And who is Mr. Vogt seeking to recuse? The Obama appointees? That’s it. If we just get those two ladies out of the way, the five Republican members will be free to do what they want. They obviously live in fear of Justice Sotomayor.
  38. RanTalbott says:
    Courtesy of the Twitfeed sidebar, some Sharon silliness: http://www.thepostemail.com/2014/04/09/new-development-in-obama-eligibility-case-in-maryland/print
    Amongst the comical attempts to be ominous, suggesting that Obots need to be fearful because they’ll be outed for all the crimes she accuses them of (without offering even a suggestion of evidence), an interesting allegation about the (not really a) “second investigation”:
    Mike Zullo revealed that a second criminal investigation launched by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio had discovered that several “Obots” are employed by DARPA, a division of the Department of Defense, which is funded by taxpayers.
    (I have a theory about this one: DARPA is working on a “potential threat identification” webcrawler, and it hit the CCP website because it was following links from overthrowtheusurper.com-type keyboard kommando blogs claiming Corporal Zullo had proven that their Noble Revolution is necessary and justified. So the IPAs of some DARPA machines showed up in the httpd logs)
    And Tracy fair introduces a new conspiracy theory that says Obots are writing the opinions for rejected birfer cases, and telling judges how to rule.
  39. The Magic M says:
    RanTalbott (quoting Shabby Ron D’Eau): Mike Zullo revealed that a second criminal investigation launched by Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio had discovered that several “Obots” are employed by DARPA
    To quote a judge in a birther case: “Is that all you’ve got?” Seriously, if that’s the universe-shattering reveal, birthers are in for one hell of a letdown. Zullo can “prove” a thousand things that have no bearing on eligibility or the next elections, that wouldn’t interest anyone outside the birfer bubble.
    Then again, sane people (anti-birthers) working for the government, that may come as a shock to some people. 😉
  40. Bovril says:
    Fascinating….
    One was not aware that the MCSO had the necessary inherent sub-poena powers to
    Force the DoD to dsclose server IP addresses,
    Extract proxy server log files,
    Map and identify user ID’s to web traffic,
    Disclose HR details mapping user name to real name
    Sub-poena individuals to attest in court as to any and all internet “handles” they use that map against “Obot” handles
    And all without a single court case or DoD/DoJ murmur
    Must have gone through FISA……
  41. RanTalbott says:
    One suspects that they haven’t gotten any further than doing a whois to find out who owns the netblock.
    And they probably had to have an extended phone conversation with Scooter in Bangalore to get even that much (“Next you need to be doing a traceroute.” “Okay. I’ve got a pencil, but I need to send someone to Circle K to buy a map.” “Nevermind”)
    That’s funny because Zullo never actually said this. Zullo made a claim that they found an obot might have worked on a project funded by DARPA but not that the person actually worked for DARPA. In the game that is birther telephone this has expanded to several obots work for DARPA, to now calling “obots” “DARPAbots”
  44. Rickey says:
    Vogt still hasn’t figured out that it only takes one Justice to request a response to a petition, and just four to grant cert. This means that even Clarence Thomas isn’t interested in his nonsense.
  48. gorefan says:
    Snopes.com March, 2014 updated article on the President’s SSN:
    http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/birthers/ssn.asp
    “The most likely explanation for the discrepancy is a simple clerical or typographical error: the ZIP code in the area of Honolulu where Barack Obama lived at the time he applied for his Social Security number in 1977 is 96814, while the ZIP code for Danbury, Connecticut, is 06814. Since ‘0’ and ‘9’ are similarly shaped numbers and are adjacent on typewriter keyboards, it’s not uncommon for handwritten examples to be mistaken for each other, or for one to be mistyped as the other (thereby potentially resulting in a Hawaiian resident’s application mistakenly being routed as if it had originated from Connecticut).”
    My guess would be “No”, since I had no idea he was Italian, and I doubt that many others do. And the only people I’ve seen who cared about such things in the last 40 or 50 years have been characters in movies.
    What’s really weird, though, is “And they use that W-O-P on menus to this day”. Now, maybe it’s because I’ve never dined at Lector House, or gone through the drive-thru at the local Cannibal Charlie’s, but I’m quite certain I’ve never, ever, seen that on a menu. I suppose there could be a small-town restaurant somewhere that has sections like “Wop Food” and “‘Murrican Meals” because everyone knows everyone, and knows it’s a joke because there’s no racial/ethnic prejudice involved. But even that seems fairly unlikely. Maybe it’s in the sandwich section, and refers to “White or Pumpernickel”?
    Well it looks like john, who at one time seemed to be struggling towards the light of reality, has fallen back into the dark slough of confirmed birtherism. This time, at Birther Report, he fantasizes about Virginia Sunahara:
    “We continue to wait for the Zullo and the CCP to release their new information. They must refute the Xerox pushed by the Obots. But, they may not have to. I have been thinking….It is possible that Mike Zullo has been able to get his hands on Virginia Sundahara’s (sic) Original Birth Certificate from family members which shows that her certificate has the same BC number as Obama’s.     Fixed.
  70. Two problems with John’s gambit:
    1: The Sunahara family doesn’t have a long form certificate for Virginia (I’m fairly sure)
    2: Her certificate number is known and it’s not the same as Obama’s.
    Just the sort of thing I was thinking of. Glad to see it actually happened: I consider it a sign of progress in outgrowing our xenophobia. Thanks for pointing it out.
    It seems downright bizarre, now, that my father caused a medium-sized scandal when he married a non-Catholic 60 years ago. I suspect some of those clucking relatives would’ve stroked out if they’d lived to see some of his younger siblings grow up to marry people who were Chinese, Vietnamese, and even a “Jap” (although Ken was entirely American: he was born in one of the WWII camps. There was some real concern about how some of the whitebread Midwestern relatives who’d fought in WWII would react, but it turned out that none of them ran for his shotgun when they saw him coming 😉 ).
    One of the reasons I got into anti-birfering is that I see them as a shameful vestige of that sort of nonsense.
  79. RanTalbott says:
    CarlOrcas: Maybe as a free add-on to Zullo’s next e-book but certainly not in any court of law in this universe.
    Maybe at Zullo’s fraud trial: I still think that the wording of the daffydavit quote, which says Hayes looked at an actual document and not an “image” or “copy”, leaves open the possibility that Zullo had him examine and report on something else entirely. It would be inexcusable for an experienced expert witness to make that kind of gaffe in a sworn statement.
    Of course, “inexcusable sloppiness” might also be the reason that they’re keeping it hidden under the bed with the nudie pics of ex-girlfriends 😉
  80. Majority Will says:
    Judson Phillips of the Tea Party Nation Claims Obama Won Because Of Voter Fraud
    (excerpts) “What is the shocking secret that may explain how Obama got a second term?
    A study done in North Carolina showed that 35,750 people who live and voted in North Carolina may have voted in another state in the 2012 Presidential election. The study was based on comparing the first and last names along with date of birth for people who voted in 28 other states. In 765 of those cases, social security numbers matched as well.
    This number would have probably been larger but only 28 states participated and the four largest states, California, New York, Texas and Florida did not participate.
    If you extrapolate this figure out over the entire population, that could be over one million double votes in 2012.
    Liberals shriek that voter fraud never happens. Conservatives don’t engage in voter fraud but liberals do.”
    “Democrats are not winning elections. They are taking them the old fashioned way. They are stealing them.”
    (source: http://www.teapartynation.com/forum/topics/how-did-obama-win-2012)
    The frothing at the mouth birthers and other revolting bigots in the comments section are perfect propaganda puppets.
  81. Bonsall Obot says:
    Of course, Phillips and his goons (deliberately?) fail to understand that when people move, they don’t un-register as voters in their old locality; it just takes time for them to be removed from the rolls.
    So how many votes did the North Carolina study show were cast by persons who voted elsewhere in the same election?
    Zero.
    Oh, and remember: the tea party is about taxes, not about hating the black guy.
  82. I know for a fact that every day large numbers of people with the same first and last name are born. Even within a medium sized state there will be several every day, meaning thousands per year per state and maybe as many as 100,000 PER YEAR nationwide.
    As I understand this,they are only matching the last 4digits of the SSN, but that only takes a really big number and divides it by 1,000 10,000. 765 might be reasonable number, not something to get excited about.
    Bonsall Obot: Some good debunking of Judson’s ridiculous claims:
  83. That would be really significant if it were true, but it is not. Only the last 4 digits of the SSN where matched. For that 765 is not remarkable at all.
    Majority Will: “In 765 of those cases, social security numbers matched as well.”
  84. RanTalbott says:
    Dr. Conspiracy: but that only takes a really big number and divides it by 1,000
    Actually, it’s 10,000.
    The sourtherstudies.org article points out other sources of error: not every state has a complete set of SSNs for registered voters: some just put in “9999” when the field doesn’t have valid data.
    Additionally, the Crosscheck people acknowledge that some erroneous “double votes” resulted from voters signing the wrong line in the poll registry, or clerks scanning the wrong barcode.
    Crosscheck found a grand total of 14 cases they thought were credible enough to refer to authorities for prosecution. The article does not say whether any of those were in NC, and the authors say they don’t know whether any were convicted.
    As I read it, Cliven Bundy has made an agreement to restart paying grazing fees to the federal government (an entity he recently stated he would not pay at all). How is this a win for Bundy and the gun nuts? The government got Bundy to start paying for grazing rights again, because it’s not fair for one person to get grazing rights for free (for more than 20 years) while everyone else pays for them.
    Not much is being said about this deal, but, I did hear through a third source (a friend who posted on it) that there was supposed to be a re-establishment of grazing fees payable by Bundy. I don’t know her source.
    They got the end of a increasingly dangerous situation which, had it escalated to real violence, would have looked a lot worse for the government.
    That’s what the protesters wanted and they didn’t get it. The government still owns the land and it still has a million dollar judgment against Bundy.
    Exactly!
    A quick check of Clark County public records fails to turn up a lien but if the government did go that way Bundy would not be able to sell his cattle without settling the lien.
    No guns necessary to accomplish that….just a few keystrokes.
    This is what we call “chest-thumping.”
    Neither Bundy nor his hoodlum buddies seem to appreciate how lucky they are that the BLM opted to withdraw for the time being; they were practically begging for an armed conflict, and they would not have fared well in one.
    We already have a well-regulated militia in this country; it’s called the National Guard. A bunch of goons wearing surplus camo, awarding each other unearned “ranks” and plinking at beer cans do not qualify.
    Bundy overplayed a very weak hand, and is about to find out how hard it is to get mail, or utilities, or to sell his government-fed cattle, or to even cash a check, once the machinery of the federal government – which has been inordinately patient with him for twenty years – decides to quit dicking around.
    You’re right. These folks are aching for a fight but there is no need for one.
    The market will enforce the lien. Once it is filed Mr. Bundy won’t be able to sell anything with clear title. No one will buy his cattle without it. Same with any real estate, cars, etc.
    Any money he has in the bank will be similarly tied up and could and probably would be seized as soon as the lien is filed.
    A lien will also dry up any lines of credit he has which are critical to farmers and cattle growers.
    Once again Mr. Bundy has made a bad decision that will only make his situation worse.
    Not to worry. The drought is gonna be so severe that the whole area will go belly up. Maybe Cliven can graze his cattle on the lovely grass in Vegas fairways.
  120. Dave B. says:
    Sov-cits are obsessed with liens. They even think the “unalienable rights” referred to in the Declaration of Independence are un-a-lienable rights, in other words, rights you can’t put a lien against; ignoring the divergent origins of the words “alien” and “lien.” They’ll pronounce the word “unaLEENable.” It’s a kind of shibboleth you can use to separate the nuts from the mere cranks.
    I do wonder what they make of “alienation of affection,” though. A little interesting material on this:
    It’s really getting kind of funny…and sad. They’re getting no news from Zullo, they’ve got no VIP’s on board, and they know that nothing is going to happen.     Karl Gall Oops!: “Welcome back Listeners – we’ve got Mike Zoo Low in the studio with us again today, but he won’t be joining our on-air discussion because once again, four days ago, he wandered into a paper bag left over from a child’s lunch here in the studio, and he still hasn’t been able to investigate his way out of that paper bag!
    But he and Shereef Our Pie Hole and God, by the way, have authorized me to make up…..no, check that, PASS ALONG an update about the perpetually delayed exciting announcements about Obama’s criminality and unconstitutionalicity!
    I am privileged to know how conclusive all this damning new information will be without being told exactly what it is! It’s that logical! Here it is!
    Both Obama Usurper and criminal investigations are going hot and heavy. Since March 1st as promised, we released the big reveal on the planet Apha Centuri Bb involving the Obama dooming evidence which we here on earth, never identify, but which AS PROMISED continues to shatter the Universe STARTING about 4 light years away, – LISTEN! The big reveal! It’s coming toward us that fast!
    And Listeners? If I over-enunciated these words it iss only to try to make them sound true, Okay?
    As we speak, Major, major, major, media and a veritable 2 person ARMY of IMPORTANT mover-shaker VIP’s who are committed to holding a FULL BLOWN Congressional investigation, are gathering at the PeePee Summons Nutwork Studios. And we’re naming names! Both VIP’s are ‘A’ Players with Presidential designs themselves and yes I’m talking exploding-bible-throwing Robber Codee Joody and the political remains of Lunatic Congressman Steve “you-can-count-on-me” Stickman!
    A few listeners have asked, “CurrrrrrrrrlL? Tell us, just how good is the evidence?Will it hold up in court AND will we win over Obama? Well, No!!!!!!!!! We are not interested in ‘winning over’ Obama. Let him continue to serve his two 4 year terms as President while we bask in the world recognition reserved for malcontented lunatics!
    As far as how convincing our new evidence is, I can promise you it is all in the form of Birther fabricated eye-wit-less testimony, and here in Bifferville, evidence just doesn’t get any better than that!
    Mike! OH MY GOD! It’s Mike Zoo Low! He’s joining me here in the studio! well, NOW, the Rat’s out of the BAG! What say you, Mike? Can we tell it all right now? Let me just reveal – I’m itchin’ to reveal SOMETHING, Mike! Let me just announce that there was really no investigation by the CCP – it was all just Mike Zoo Low trying to scrape up dirt on Bammy”! So what can you tell us, Mike Zoo Low?”
    Co-Madder Mike Zoo Low in a tiny barely audible whine: “not much…nothing …..nothing really…..big….. really ….. big…… Universe shattering…… nothing……. secret…. official secrets axe ……huge…..nothing really…… low-mileage….. no that’s not from flooding in Katrina….. usurper …… could have died …….. could have never been found in that paperbag…….. vicious …… nothing. Nothing really.”
    And didn’t Carl do a “special edition” of his webcast in the middle of last week for some damage control?
Among other things, they wanted to be sure they didn’t oversample some geographic areas, and undersample others.
    It appears that I neglected to bookmark it, and I can’t find it through google.
    Does anyone else remember that article, and have a link to it? It appears that the “certificate number out of sequence” meme is harder to kill than a robotic cockroach, so I need to exercise the “nuclear option” on some birfers.
  147. In 1961, the states sent to the federal government microfilm copies of all birth certificates. The federal government keypunched the even-numbered certificates to make a 50% sample.
    The sample data represent estimates which differ somewhat from figures that would have been derived by processing all the records. However, the manner in which records are numbered greatly reduces the sampling variability of totals for geographic areas. With few exceptions, records are numbered in the State offices of vital statistics as they are received from the local offices. The assignment of the last digit in the number is not selective, and the systematic sample of even-numbered records may be assumed to be unbiased. Furthermore, because the records are almost always in geographic order before numbering, twice the sample count of births occurrring (sic) in the great majority of counties in table 3-1 in Section 3 is virtually the same as the corresponding figure based on all records.
    Vital Statistics of the United States 1961 – Volume 1 – Natality pages 227 and 232.
    The main point, though, is that Obama’s certificate number is exactly what it should be, based on other known numbers. See:
    We were there once off season, with very few people around and the solitude was awe inspiring.
  173. Rickey says:
    Dr. Conspiracy (quoting a nutjob): Sandy Hook Hoax is Obama’s lowest moment, but he has kept us out of war. Some neocons are certified crazy and want nuclear war with Iran and even Russia.
    The “Sandy Hook Hoax” garbage drives me crazy. I went to the wake of one of the teachers who were killed. She was the daughter of my dentist (when I was young), who also was a friend of my parents. Some hoax.
  174. Rickey says:
    Benji Franklin: And look what the survivors are reduced to hanging on to!‘Father Time’ at BR left a comment illustrating the delusional/bunker mentality’s ability to deal with the increasing certainty of long established and continuing failure, by simply declaring WITH NO SUPPORTING EVIDENCE that a triumphant reversal of fortunes is becoming more likely and more imminent as the time left for such a turnabout slips completely away:
    Father Time wrote (probably sobbed)
    “Verry close. We have went from months to days but I think we are close to saying hours.
    Any hour my friends Any Hour.
    Keep the faith.”
    Good grief!
    Last week “Father Time” was convinced that April 15 was the day when Zullo would announce the date on which his “universe shattering” information is going to be released.
    Of course, it’s still mid-afternoon in Arizona.
  175. Arthur says:
    Dr. Conspiracy: How to these people even stay alive?
    We have a social safety net. It’s a mixed blessing.
  176. Rickey says:
    Some SCOTUS clarification at The Fogbow:
    Doug Vogt’s petition for cert has not been distributed for the conference this Friday. The only thing that was distributed was his motion to expedite consideration of his petition.
    That motion will be denied, of course. The petition itself will not be dead filed until sometime after April 23.
    More updates:
    As for Brooke Paige, the State of Vermont waived its right to respond on March 26 and I expect that his petition will be dead filed any day now.
    Laity filed a petition for Rehearing on April 11. That of course will be denied.
    Yep I just ran into a boston marathon bomber truther on a birther video yesterday. He has a video up of him claiming how its a hoax and in his video he refers to a group of people as fatties. He uses a lot of blurred video. Apparently the guy spent a whole year on this. I asked if he ever traveled to Boston personally, I never got a response to the question.
    I’m in New York but I travel to the Bridgeport area a couple of times a month and I usually get on Route 25 in Newtown. I’ve never driven past the school, which I understand is being demolished or has been demolished.
    Rickey: I’m in New York but I travel to the Bridgeport area a couple of times a month and I usually get on Route 25 in Newtown. I’ve never driven past the school, which I understand is being demolished or has been demolished.
    It’s offensive that these people on the internet who do all their research on the internet and don’t step one foot outside their doors want to tell us what happened in newtown. That the people who lost children aren’t actually real. It’s sick.
  181. Jim says:
    Dr. Conspiracy:
    Wait, I’m confuzzled…if he was being held for Kenya and not for breaking any DR laws, wouldn’t Kenya have a say in his release? Why would they need bail?
  182. Dave B. says:
    Speaking of racial profiling, there’s a thread over at the Tea Party News Network that started with this comment from somebody called “isaiah14” (it’s on an article about whether Marsha Blackburn (I kid you not) could be the first female president):
    “I hope not. It is a direct violation of the scriptures for a woman to be president. However, it is a direct violation of the scriptures for a black or any race but white to be president. Since we have a black president, which is illegal, here is proof that we are in the end times.”
    http://www.tpnn.com/2014/04/14/could-this-female-republican-be-the-first-female-president-in-history/#comment-1336262459
    There’s some crazy stuff over there.
  183. Greenfinches says:
    Bonsall Obot: If they can’t be in charge, they want to burn it all down.
    sorry to all apparently sane Republicans here, like Daniel, but this sounds to me like the current GOP line when faced with Democrats in power. Stimulus as a way to make the US economy recover? No thanks, let’s not have the Democrats take any deserved credit, let’s sink the country instead! And this whilst not swallowing the birther rubbish….
    I just don’t understand it.
  184. Arthur says:
    OK, I know that birthers thrive on delusions, and feed on the fat of “any day now,” but they are really taking it to a new level. There are a series of comments celebrating the fact that Zullo hasn’t made an announcement.
    “No new news today makes me VERY hopeful!”
    “the silence is deafening. no news is good news. watch out for the quiet one.”
    “Wow no news today? So we must be under 48 hours for release.”
    “Keep your powder dry boys and girls. The fan and the s%t are about to collide.”
    But this one wins the prize for pure rebarbative nonsense:
    “A lot people expected a tax day release of the info. my take is that obama expected it too but knew that zullo would know that he would expect it so it was ruled out, because it would not be a surprise. next day to expect the release and not get it due to the aforementioned enigma will be Good Friday, which is what we would expect as a great day for release, its friday and a high holy day, but Zullo knowing that obama would expect it and not be surprised, will rule it out, unless he figures that obama would expect him to rule it out and actually releases the info. i’m on pins and needles popcorn ready to be popped.”
  185. Bonsall Obot says:
    CarlOrcas: Breathing is an involuntary muscular response.
    Yeah, but you’d figure they’d maim themselves every time they try to open a bag of Funyuns.
    The Boston Marathon Truthers make my blood boil. I’m a softie Polyanna, but I live in Boston on the marathon route. I want to hit those people.
    We were a mile from the explosions. (And the firefighters who died recently were from the station that serves our building.) I’ve seen the blood. We gave water and food to the runners who were stopped. We were glued to the scanners the night the brothers were loose in Watertown. (I was also translating for one of our Southern friends who was bewildered by the Boston accent.) We sheltered in place. I’ve met some of the victims in PT (my orthopedist operated on several victims). It happened. It was awful.
    I so want to pummel Boston Marathon Truthers. (Damn, I’m all riled up and will never get to sleep now.)
  187. The Magic M says:
    Whatever4: The Boston Marathon Truthers make my blood boil.
    I’m still puzzled why the “false flag” conspiracy believers have totally remodeled their base narrative from “the government made it happen” to “the government faked it”. This was first seen in Sandy Hook, then repeated with the Boston Marathon bombing.
    I don’t know why they have to believe everything (including deaths/injuries) was faked instead of the common “false flag” theory that the perpetrators were government agents.
    Maybe it started with those 9/11 truthers who claimed there were no planes involved but missiles covered under “3D holograms”.
    But however it started, it has already morphed into an idiocy that is akin to claiming the WTC never collapsed and had been secretly moved out of the country weeks before 9/11…
  188. The Magic M says:
    Arthur (quoting a BR inmate): my take is that obama expected it too but knew that zullo would know that he would expect it so it was ruled out, because it would not be a surprise. next day to expect the release and not get it due to the aforementioned enigma will be Good Friday, which is what we would expect as a great day for release, its friday and a high holy day, but Zullo knowing that obama would expect it and not be surprised, will rule it out, unless he figures that obama would expect him to rule it out and actually releases the info
    Maybe that was satire. 😉
    But it shows an easy way for Obama to deal with the birthers – just expect the info to be released every single day and it will, by the above logic, never be released. *lol*
    It would be funny to see birther heads explode when Zullo says “I can’t release the evidence against Obama because that would be racial profiling which I’ve been prohibited from doing”. It would fit their narrative and be a perfect getaway for the Zullster…
    Not to over analyze this but……it seems Zullo probably doesn’t want to offend the gullible to much. I mean who is he going to sell penny stocks, gold or Bitcoins to in his next incarnation?
    So your scenario makes sense: “I would if I could, but I can’t” so let’s move on folks!
    The story in the background is really sad, so it’s not as funny as our birther “experts”, but still:
    Under cross-examination by Mr. Nel, who challenged Mr. Dixon’s credentials, the expert said he had no training in ballistics or blood spatter analysis and was a geologist by training.
    Mr. Dixon said he had conducted tests to compare the sound of a toilet door being struck with a cricket bat and the sound of a gunshot. With heavy sarcasm, Mr. Nel questioned the skills Mr. Dixon had brought to the tests. “It seems the skill you used was wielding a cricket bat,” Mr. Nel said, but Mr. Dixon disputed the assertion.
  202. How’s it hanging dear friends at Doc’s Obama Conspiracy Theories websites?
    The latest riveting one from the WOBIK blog is as follows:
    Attorney Loren Christopher Collins to represent [currently under consideration by me] Lucas Daniel Smith in extradition to Kenya case (Pro bono).
    http://www.wasobamaborninkenya.com/blog/barrack-obama-eligibility/attorney-loren-christopher-collins-to-represent-lucas-daniel-smith/
  203. OK, that has to be the wildest story in recent memory.
    Just for the record, I’m not the one who complained to Smith’s hosting company; in fact I didn’t even know he had posted my deceased parents’ social-security numbers until now. Kinda creepy, though.
    Lucas Daniel Smith: Attorney Loren Christopher Collins to represent [currently under consideration by me] Lucas Daniel Smith in extradition to Kenya case (Pro bono).
    Quite honestly, I’m not following this but, I wonder why you allow this man to queer your site when he does this sort of thing? Not only creepy but ethically derelict.
  205. Bonsall Obot says:
    bgansel9:
    Quite honestly, I’m not following this but, I wonder why you allow this man to queer your site when he does this sort of thing? Not only creepy but ethically derelict.
    Any time Lucas Daniel Smith spends on his own site or on Doc’s is that much less time he can endanger the children of the Dominican Republic, if that is indeed one of the reasons he fled to one of the sex-tourism capitals of the world.
  206. Suranis says:
    I’m afraid he comes here just to get what motivates his sad little life – the attention of others. So I’m not going to read whatshisname’s fiction. Sorry and all.
  207. I let this one through because I found the claim that Loren had offered to represent Smith in the Kenyan extradition pro bono quite interesting. Smith says that he will make up his mind by April 21.
    Smith will, of course, ultimately refuse because there is no Kenyan extradition, but it will be interesting to see how the game plays out.
    bgansel9: Quite honestly, I’m not following this but, I wonder why you allow this man to queer your site when he does this sort of thing?
  208. Speaking of that, someone asked if Smith was posting his comments from the Dominican Republic and I checked the IP addresses of his two recent notes.
    When I looked them up at a site called GeoBytes, the IP addresses pointed to Paris, France, not marked as a proxy. That didn’t make sense. Since I’ve had a number of odd results from GeoBytes, I tried another IP locating site that I sometimes use, and it pointed to the Dominican Republic, which is where Smith says that he is. That lookup site is:
    http://www.melissadata.com/lookups/iplocation.asp
    What is interesting, and that I had not noticed before, is that the site is run by MelissaData, which is a deduplication software vendor, and a competitor to my old company that also had a deduplication offering. Record matching is really a fascinating discipline, first approached rigorously by Fellegi and Sunter for the census bureau. They did rigorous mathematical results, but the difficulty is in the application. One can take a Bayesian approach, similar spam filtering. Some use rule-based approaches with manual tuning. Deduplication research was one of the most “fun” things I did professionally.
    Bonsall Obot: Any time Lucas Daniel Smith spends on his own site or on Doc’s is that much less time he can endanger the children of the Dominican Republic, if that is indeed one of the reasons he fled to one of the sex-tourism capitals of the world.
  209. Dave B. says:
    Here we go:
    “Republican conspiracy theorists have reported bewilderment today after their persistent claims for documentary evidence of the President’s place of birth were answered by a birth certificate confirming that Barack Obama was born neither in Hawaii or Kenya, but in a stable in Bethlehem.”
    http://www.newsbiscuit.com/2014/04/19/%E2%80%98birthers%E2%80%99-conflicted-after-obama%E2%80%99s-birth-certificate-proves-he-is-son-of-god/
  210. Bonsall Obot says:
    I’m glad you confirmed it, but I never doubted he was in the DR; it’s a natural choice for someone with a shady background and an admitted penchant for underage girls.
    Everything else he claims about Kenya and birth certificates and extradition is, of course, not credible, and all part of his scam. If Steadman is stupid enough to fall for it, I have no sympathy, though I’d be delighted if Smith were someday brought to justice.
  211. Dave B. says:
    Things are so low and slow in Birfastan that Mark Gillar has crawled out from under his rock to make comments over here:
