The Fascist Socialist Kenyan Muslim Libtard President

That’s the title of an article by journalist and author Walter Brasch in Op Ed News that highlights the extreme comments made by some against Barack Obama beginning with the infamous tweet by Rep. Weber (R-TX):

Even Adolph Hitler thought it more important than Obama to get to Paris. (For all the wrong reasons.) Obama couldn’t do it for the right reasons.

Oh, and he mentions birthers too. He’s speaking my language when he says:

When not attacking the President, the right-wing attacks liberals, who are believed to be the earthly incarnation of the Devil. To the extreme right-wing, liberals are DemocRATS, DIMocrats, and libtards. The left-wing merely shakes their heads at such juvenile terminology.

Give it a look.

Obama came in to office with the opposition firmly rooted in the, “damn if you do, damn if you don’t,” mindset.

Had he actually gone to Paris, there would have been endless commentary on how much the trip cost. Or, they would have claimed it was another example of his favouritism of foreign governments and non-U.S. citizens over the country that he is the elected leader of because he did not attend random anonymous person’s funeral or failed to appear at some random event.

If Obama had gone to Paris the Wingnuts would have complained that he attended a pro-multicultural event that included Muslim groups. The Far Right in France boycotted the event.

  3. Rickey says:

Unfortunately, Brasch dilutes his argument by including this erroneous sentence:

The Constitution specifically allows anyone who is an American citizen, over the age of 35, and who lived in the U.S. for at least 14 years to be president.

That mostly likely is not what he intended to say, but it is the sort of thing which birthers will jump all over.

Speaking as a Frenchman, we appreciated that the US Ambassador was there although she was perhaps a bit too discreet; then John Kerry came, and the speech in French he had delivered several days before the march was widely disseminated and praised.

I honestly don’t think anyone expected Obama to show up. We all know how insane your secret service is when it comes to “security.” I suppose Biden might have come but no one here knows who he is anyway. Kerry would have been my #1 choice but he was in India on matters of nuclear security. So all in all 7 out of 10.

Anyway, the French are far more annoyed over your cowardly media’s blurring, pixelizing and bad cropping of any photos or film footage showing even harmless CH cartoons than they are/were over Obama’s absence.

  5. I haven’t watched much of the coverage of this, so I wasn’t aware that they were obscuring the cartoons. Still the practice fits the corporate news industry we have now. It is so very much in line with the characterization of contemporary mainstream news in the book “935 Lies.”

Or that he was smooching up to European Socialists (all European leaders are socialists, y’know, at least to the people of Wingnuttistan).
Or that he was just using a “shameless photo op” (which it actually was, given that the politicians didn’t lead the protests but only a small crowd on a blocked street).
Or that he was such an egomaniac that he had to insert himself instead of securing the Mexican border from Ebola, or something.

(Actually and predictably, WND both chastised Obama for not joining the European leaders and the European leaders for being pro-Muslim – within two days.)

The blurring, cropping and pixelizing on CNN became really annoying. But then again that is the network who faints at the sight of nipples.
