Laity has quite the losing record. He can’t touch Apuzzo though.
I put on the NewsGuard browser plug in that gives a little red flag when viewing a poor-quality news website, and flags them in Google search results.

Chinese hackers were attacking the site last week. The fact that I know about it suggests they didn’t succeed.

Thank you for keeping the site open. It is a wonderful resource. I know time and money are involved to do that.
The site today is what it was intended to be at the beginning, a reference. The only money involved is domain registration. The hosting plan supports my personal blogs and a couple of nonprofits.
I’ve been thinking about now to keep the site going for posterity. Do they have “perpetual care” website cemeteries?

I was looking at John Woodman’s blog yesterday and noticed in his last article he wrote that his domain registration was paid through 2019. I hope he keeps it available beyond this year.
The Internet is quite a volatile medium. Just go back and look at old articles and see how many links are bad now. I know you put quite an effort into fixing those before you closed this blog. The Internet Archive is a good thing but doesn’t work very well for blogs, forums, and comment feeds. Then you have owners like Leo Donofrio who wake up one day and decide to delete everything.

Birther Report is long gone, even though it used free hosting (Google). Its main draw was the comments rather than the articles (IMO).
