Cold Case Posse video fraud: it gets worse

In my previous article, Indicting Sheriff Joe and the Cold Case Posse, I showed that the screen shot described as a “1961 vital statistics instruction manual” actually came from 1968. It gets worse.

Later in, two minutes into the video, we see this image:

image

That image is followed by this:

image

How did the Cold Case Posse know that they had the “Correct Manual?” They knew it because they got that image from the notoriously dishonest birther blog, The Daily Pen.

image

It now appears that the Cold Case Posse found that article in The Daily Pen, unaware that I had proved it a fraud way back last March, and believed it. They called Verna Lee to dress the story up, and then made it into a video, lying that they had investigated and found a 1961 manual, when they had in fact not. The image above, by the way, is derived from the 1969 manual, with The Daily Pen’s tell-tale red box.

The Cold Case Posse is pathetic.

Doc C. you appear to be deliberately distorting the facts. I call your attention to the Daily Pen Article you cite: http://thedailypen.blogspot.com/2012/02/vital-records-indicate-obama-not-born_29.html#comment-form

If you look at the comments there only 27 comments. This does not appear to be a well-read blog. However, pay attention to following comment:

    JamesMarch 4, 2012 7:29 PM
Doc C. wrote a hit piece on your write up.
    http://www.obamaconspiracy.org/2012/03/decoding-the-long-form-part-1/

If The CCP had discovered this article and information as you suggest, they would have read to comments. There are only 27 comments to read. This would discovered you article at that time.
Therefore, your comment “It now appears that the Cold Case Posse found that article in The Daily Pen, unaware that I had proved it a fraud…” appears to be deliberate distortion of the facts.–

  5. Are these “corrections” Gillar just made to the video today? Those were not in the original at the press conference were they? “Production error”. How about “we lied our asses off”?

Dr. Corsi has worked very closely with the CCP. Dr. Corsi is highly aware of Doc C. Blog. If Doc C. wrote something about this topic you can take it to the bank that Dr. Corsi is well aware of the article. If the article was cited in the comments of the Daily Penn Article, you be sure that the CCP and Dr. Corsik new about Doc C’s article. However, after investigating, they did feel that Doc C. was not right or even credible. It appears that the Daily Pen was right all along and this further confirmed by a federal official and Verna Lee

  9. JPotter says:

On the 17th Zullo called out a couple errors in the rerun videos. Which had me sighing. Why reply a homemade video that the CCCP had decided had errors? And why is a police investigation putting on presentations? What’s next, Powerpoint? (Please, gods, no!!!)

Why not set there “experts” up and run through 600 flawed “tests” in front of witnesses? 😉

Could be an ongoing performance art installation.

  10. Apparently not, since they used a screen shot from the Daily Pen blot blog, from the very article I had shown fraudulent last March.

Birthers like Corsi, are too deeply committed to their delusions to do any real fact checking. As soon as they arrive at something that agrees with their bias, they bite like a fish on an artificial fly.

john: Dr. Corsi has worked very closely with the CCP. Dr. Corsi is highly aware of Doc C. Blog. If Doc C. wrote something about this topic you can take it to the bank that Dr. Corsi is well aware of the article.

  11. CarlOrcas says:

JPotter: why is a police investigation putting on presentations?

It isn’t a “police investigation”. That’s why. My dog (when it lived in Arizona) had the same police powers as Zullo and the rest of the “posse”.

It is a charade. It makes “Car 54 Where Are You?” look like a documetary.

  12. CarlOrcas says:

john: Dr. Corsi has worked very closely with the CCP. Dr. Corsi is highly aware of Doc C. Blog

How do you know? Are you in contact with “Dr.” Corsi? Are you a member of the “posse”” How do you know, John???

  13. And exactly where can I read Ms. Lee’s statement in her own words?

If you think the codes are right, you never understood the article where I proved beyond any possible doubt that they were not.

john: It appears that the Daily Pen was right all along and this further confirmed by a federal official and Verna Lee

  14. justlw says:

    CarlOrcas: How do you know?

Presumably the same way he knew that

I think we have conclusive (birfer-style) proof that “John” is actually Mike Zullo.

  15. CarlOrcas says:

justlw: I think we have conclusive (birfer-style) proof that “John” is actually Mike Zullo

By John’s usual standard of proof I believe you have nailed it…..conclusively, as they say.

  16. foreigner says:

so the posse claims they have the correct manual but refuse to show it ??
    Still they claim for fraud,forgery,

what reason do they give for not showing it ?

  17. justlw says:

It would appear that the two cues ( :33 and and 2:13 ) mentioned in the post-production “oopsy” bubble in the first image above point to the 1968 code set, rather than the 1961 code set that they say is in those two places — is that right?

  18. donna says:

John: Dr. Corsi has worked very closely with the CCP.

that was arpaio’s FIRST mistake – when you open a “cold case” investigation, you start at the BEGINNING with “fresh eyes”

trump did the same – his supposed “investigators” were corsi and wing nutzz daily

there has been nothing new but already debunked assertions from SUPPOSED “journalists” who report “facts” based on “proof” asserted by “experts” who provide “evidence”

NONE of it has been proven by triers of fact –

in a court of law, documents are admitted as “evidence” when an attorney says “your honor, i would like to admit this into evidence as defense/prosecution ‘exhibit x’ “.

the triers of fact then weigh the “evidence” as to its veracity

  19. justlw says:

My bad. They don’t say those images are of the 1961 code set. They say they’re reflective of the 1961 coding policy.

Which is a lie, unless by “reflective” they’re referring to a fun house mirror.

There are only two courses of action for you john. Either seek mental help because you’re so in the tank you have no control over grasping the truth, or go donate and send them all of your money since that is why they are doing this. Pick one.

  21. bgansel9 says:

    foreigner:

what reason do they give for not showing it ?

The fact that it would blow their case apart? LOL (they only talk about that in private).

  22. neonzx says:

Okay then. I’m Sorry, Jim Carrey. But, like I said, Zullo wouldn’t even qualify as a Pet Detective. At least Ace Ventura could actually solve a case.

Apparently unemployed Mike Zullo is so much more ridiculous than fictional Ace, right down to the toy law enforcement “badge” he wore on his belt during the press conference.

“Pathetic” might be too generous, Doc C.

  23. Arthur says:

justlw: My bad. They don’t say those images are of the 1961 code set. They say they’re reflective of the 1961 coding policy.

Right. And to use their standards of accuracy, a hippo is reflective of a rhino, just as a Great Dane is reflective of a small deer, and a lie is reflective of the truth.

  24. richCares says:

as for Zullo “…right down to the toy law enforcement “badge” he wore on his belt during the press conference”
if you enlarge that picture you will notice the logo on the badge, it says – Cracker Jack!

  25. I emailed Mike Zullo the same night after the press conference to tell him that they had used the wrong codes. He forwarded the email to Jerome Corsi and Corsi asked me to send him what I had. I can assure you he was not aware of Doctor Conspiracy’s article debunking The Daily Pen. You can take it to the bank.

Why would anyone care to investigate the codes on the birth certificate? Doc C has only done so because birthers are so dependent on this cause, that they will use false statements and outright lies to make a point. There are no grounds, whatsoever, to even consider an investigation.

Hawaii has verified ad nauseum that Obama was born there. Unless there is any credible evidence to the contrary, there is no reason for an investigation.

  29. JPotter says:

Mark Sutherland: perhaps we can at least agree that there are sufficient grounds for a Congressional investigation into the birth certificate issue.

LOL! Perhaps not. Lies need not be dignified. Bounce, Mark.

On the other hand, Congress does waste time investigating lots of silly things. I am somewhat surprised the Red House hasn’t gone for it, it’d fit their MO. However, I see no reason to condone those wasted efforts, either.

  30. Joe Acerbic says:

    Mark Sutherland:
We all feel very strongly either way about it.

That right there is one of the main reasons this nation is such a mess right now: these days, so called “conservatives” disregard facts; all that matters to them is how they FEEL about things.

    Mark Sutherland:

Lol no, I don’t think many agree at all. Congress will never, ever take this fantasy non-issue up. Because as crazy as some of the Senators and house members are these days, they aren’t *that* crazy.

  32. CarlOrcas says:

Mark Sutherland: Instead of arguing, perhaps we can at least agree that there are sufficient grounds for a Congressional investigation into the birth certificate issue.

Investigate what? Hawaii has repeatedly and clearly certified its records are accurate and complete.

Don’t you think that if there was the slightest chance that there was something to all the theories floating around that some Republicans would be pushing for a Congressional investigation? How about Darrell Issa? He hasn’t been shy about going after the President. Why do you think he and others have passed on this one????

  33. john says:

Perhaps you will share the email correspondence RC. Dr. Corsi may be playing dumb for you. He knows about Doc C’s article. Dr. Corsi even mentions Doc C. in “Where’s The Birth Certificate”. Trust me dude, Dr. Corsi knows all about Doc C and his distortions of truth and fact he presents on his blog.

  34. JD Reed says:

Northland10: No, we cannot agree that there are sufficient grounds. Made up proof is not sufficient grounds.

Noirthland, you shoulda put proof in quotes, just to make it clear that what the birthers consider as “proof” is ludicrous. Your comment is dead-on.

  35. Arthur says:

Mark Sutherland: there are sufficient grounds for a Congressional investigation into the birth certificate issue.

There aren’t sufficient grounds to make a weak cup of coffee.

  36. Arthur B. says:

Mark Sutherland: …perhaps we can at least agree that there are sufficient grounds for a Congressional investigation into the birth certificate issue.

Yes, let’s agree! I would love for the Republican-controlled House to make a big deal over this. The ludicrous non-evidence would be exposed immediately as totally bogus and the birthers would be made into an even bigger laughing-stock than they already are. It would rub off big-time on any political leaders foolish enough to go along with it.

    Please, do it!

  37. Scientist says:

Mark Sutherland: We all feel very strongly either way about it.

I don’t feel strongly at all. I regard the whole thing as a foolish diversion from the real issues of the economy, war and peace, education, health care. etc. You know, stuff that affects people’s lives. Would you actually rank a 1961 Hawaiian birth certificate ahead of any of those? Seriously?

As for the current Congress, they can’t pass any legislation beyond naming post offices. Their approval ratiings are barely above Jerry Sandusky’s. I wouldn’t trust them to tell the time of day, let alone investigate something.

whether it’s worth to expand to $10000 etc.

That’s very generous of you, since you don’t pay US taxes and it isn’t your money. I think the Bundestag should spend 1 trillion euros investigating Frau Merkel. I won’t be paying for it, so why not?

  43. foreigner says:

  45. Arthur B. says:

The facts have long since been determined, whether you wish to acknowledge it or not. We don’t need no stinkin’ posse.

Scientist: That’s very generous of you, since you don’t pay US taxes and it isn’t your money. I think the Bundestag should spend 1 trillion euros investigating Frau Merkel. I won’t be paying for it, so why not?

ohh, $1000 would only be 3.2e-4 cents per US.citizen or 1.5e-3 cents for those
who believe Obama wasn’t born in USA only.

Once >10% of Germans in a poll say they doubt Merkel’s citizenship,
I’d also be for an examination but not 1 trillion, I don’t really know
how you arrive at that number.
And although AFAIK we have no constitutional requirement of birth for
    our chancellor.

  47. I think that is an excellent idea. If enforced, the public would never have hear about birthers again.

Seriously though, none of the persons you listed is qualified to be part of the investigation. And a real investigation isn’t carried out before the public.

foreigner: hmm, we could form another more balanced posse consisting of Dr.C,Woodman,Zullo,
Corsi – discussing in public before they agree on common statements

  48. Paper says:

As I previously mentioned, in America people don’t care how much private people and businesses spend on their own dime, millions so what, but if the government spends a single penny, they will be looking at it through a microscope, complaining about the nano-thickness of the penny.

Besides, $1,000 wouldn’t pay for diddly.

Here’s what it cost Starr to investigate Clinton, $40 million plus.

    http://www.cnn.com/ALLPOLITICS/stories/1999/02/01/starr.costs/

Congress couldn’t buy coffee and donuts for the commitee and staff for $1000.

foreigner: Once >10% of Germans in a poll say they doubt Merkel’s citizenship,

Has a poll been taken? I doubt it, so you don’t know. Anyway, I bet 10% in a poll in either country doubt the earth is spheroid and doubt that gravity exists. Should Congress or the Bundestag investigate that? How much should they budget?

This issue is a trivial distraction from real issues. You may be fooled into thinking it is important, but I am not and most people aren’t either. Suppose Abraham Lincoln had been born on the moon; all the great things he did would be no less great. Birth lasts a few seconds-it’s the rest of a person’s life that counts. You have a VERY narrow-minded fixation on birth-did you suffer some trauma?

There was a movie called “Guide For The Married Man” (or something like that) with Walter Matthau and Robert Morse; and the particular skit I’m talking about featured Sid Caesar, I think. Sid’s wife walked in on him in flagrante delicto, and he and the chick calmly put on their clothes, gathered up her things, sent her on her way and Sid sat down with a pipe and the evening paper, all the while answering every objection by his wife with “what woman?” “what bed?” “what dress?” “where?” “when?” etc.

    Matthau: “But what if …”
    Morse: “Deny”
    Matthau: “But wh…”
    Morse “Deny”

    Morse: “Deny, deny!”

The joke’s really on the taxpayers and the people who keep putting this guy into office,” said Grant Woods, a former REPUBLICAN Arizona Attorney General. “But once again this is an embarrassment to this country coming out of Arizona.”

Excellent work, sir. This is my first visit to your site and as I clicked one of the links a birther had posted, somehow I ended up in a maze of insanity until I saw the headline: “From Conception to Election”. I knew this had to be good.

The author writes that what the Founding Fathers intended to define as a “Natural Born Citizen” is a person who: was born on US soil, born to both parents whom are American citizens and (I kid you not) on American soil at the time of conception.

How does one prove geo-locale at time of conception? Is there an app for it? “Facebook and The Immaculate Application would like to use the current location ofyour coitus.”

“From Conception to Election”. It is so funny that I wish it wasn’t.

Allow me to compare that quote with, say, the following quote from South Park: “The dolphin has my scrotum.”

Obviously the more coherent statement is by an animated, post-op transgendered recently-turned lesbian 4th grade teacher. A dolphin taking Ms. Garrison’s scrotum seems more logical and probable than anything a “birther” says.

There are still “birthers?” Really? REALLY?!?

Drop Corsi and add a couple of Lawyers from the Fog Bow and let’s go for it! Have Sheriff Joe turn over all his records and let them run a complete internal investigation of Joe’s County Sheriff’s office, with a complete audit of that and the Sheriff’s reelection campaign. They could release their findings the day before the election. I think that’s a very fair idea! And, of course, let them apply the same standards of evidence as the present CCP and let’s see if maybe the good Sheriff should be indicted.

I haven’t commented on this coding bit, because, honestly, I don’t care! Any why would anyone else? “You want to discredit a President over what?

What the birthers have always lacked, is a compelling story. Instead of working on one, they keep going narrower, and getting more specific. Which has been a great mistake. By focusing so narrow, on a point so finite, they’ve commited to a concrete factoid. The dumbest mistake a liar can make.

By sticking to general claims (“Obama wasn’t born here!”, “The BC is fake!”, etc), they can tap and evade forever. The people that liked what they heard would keep eating it up. Their detractors wouldn’t be able to pin them down.

  90. Lupin says:

I just read an article by a retired university professor from Toulouse, who was analyzing the phenomenon of people who come to Bugarach (a local mountain) thinking they will be saved from the Mayan Apocalypse in December.

Interestingly the author pointed out several instances in history (going back to Ancient Greece, the War of Religions up to Hitler’s rise to power) where deep economic crises where matched with a concomitant rise in irrational beliefs (seers, mediums, astrology, etc) then followed by a tyrannical government; to the extent that you could use such increase as a predictor for the emergence of such governments.

Obviously we (in Europe) are concerned about such evolution in Greece and Spain, two countries which were still living under dictatorships in the 1960s (I used to go there on vacation). But I couldn’t help connect these dots to the present situation in the US where there’s been a clear increase in irrational thought for the last decade or so; and can only pray that all this won’t result in the emergence of an “American Putin” after Obama’s second term.

  91. nbc says:

Zullo: “Even if we have, we got to come up with a new angle”.

What are wingers doing writing for Pravda anyway? Are they allowed to wear their Bircher pins at the office?

There is an ideological ocean between hard copy Pravda and online Pravda.
    From Wikipedia:
On August 22, 1991, a decree by Russian President Boris Yeltsin shut down the Communist Party and seized all of its property, including Pravda. Its team of journalists fought for their newspaper and freedom of speech. They registered a new paper with the same title just weeks after.
A few months later, then-editor Gennady Seleznyov (now a member of the Duma) sold Pravda to a family of Greek entrepreneurs, the Yannikoses. The next editor-in-chief, Aleksandr Ilyin, handed Pravda’s trademark — the Order of Lenin medals — and the new registration certificate over to the new owners.
By that time, a serious split occurred in the editorial office. Over 90% of the journalists who had been working for Pravda until 1991 quit their jobs. They established their own version of the newspaper, which was later shut down under government pressure. These same journalists, led by former Pravda editors Vadim Gorshenin and Viktor Linnik in January 1999, launched Pravda Online, the first web-based newspaper in the Russian language; English, Italian and Portuguese versions are also available.
In 1996, two Greek investors launched Pravda Pyat, a weekly tabloid aimed at younger readers. The new Pravda newspaper and Pravda Online are not related in any way. The paper Pravda tends to analyze events from a leftist point of view, while the web-based tabloid-style newspaper often takes a nationalist and sensationalist approach.
In 1997, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation recovered the newspaper, and it became an organ of the CPRF. This was verified by the special resolution of the 4th Congress of the CPRF.

Joe Acerbic: That right there is one of the main reasons this nation is such a mess right now: these days, so called “conservatives” disregard facts; all that matters to them is how they FEEL about things.

Some of them do, and I apologize for those who do.

I would say the vast majority of us, however — at least those of us who are tuned in enough not to be deceived by the steady drumbeat of lie after lie after lie from the birthers — want nothing to do with these wingnuts.

I have a friend here who is well known for his past conservative activism and who has been involved in a lot of political campaigns and leadership in conservative circles in the area. I talked to him on the phone a couple of weeks ago. It had been a long time, as he’s largely retired from the scene, now spends quite a bit of time at the lake, etc. And I’ve been busy with my own stuff and out of the campaign loop, and just hadn’t had any occasion to talk to him for a while.

So I told him, “Over the past year I’ve had quite a few conservatives hacked off at me, because I wrote a book debunking all these false claims made that Obama’s birth certificate was a forgery, and I’ve written the equivalent of a longer book analyzing and debunking the claim that being a natural born citizen requires citizen parents.”

I’m logging on to second John Woodman’s statements. As I have my toes in quite a number of separate streams– the local construction business world, academia, the motorcycling world, various historical circles, family, the colonial coin and exonumia world, to name a few– I observe that virtually all of the conservatives I actually meet are of the anti-kook variety. They appear positively dyspeptic whenever Birthers are mentioned.

I think the explanation is one that applies to both sides of the political aisle, to religion, and many other human endeavors: the kookier, the louder. The quiet sane Liberals and Conservatives, religious folk etc. tend to not be obnoxious about their ideas, and also don’t make very good press, so you don’t notice them so much.

n March 7th, 2012, Pravda called out the U.S. press for its deliberate neglect of the largest scandal in modern American history. Maricopa County, Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio released credible forensic evidence that Barack Obama, presumed President of the United States, presented to the world a forged Birth Certificate on April 27th, 2011.
Since then, the scandal has only expanded. Former United States Postal Service worker Allen Hulton has recently come forward with compelling testimony given under Oath, which leads to only one conclusion: Barack Obama attended College in the United States as a Foreign Student.
