Susan Daniels, Orly Taitz and many others among the Obama eligibility deniers point to the President’s social-security number, which comes from a number series usually (but not always) assigned to residents of Connecticut. They say he stole the number from someone.
There are all sorts of objections to the claims of social-security fraud raised against the President, but the “elephant in the room” is that if Barack Obama is using someone else’s number, whose is it?
Susan Daniels is supposed to be a cracker-jack detective (according to some who subscribe to her theories), and certainly detectives and Internet researchers have looked at all of the public databases and perhaps some in law enforcement have even looked at official databases, yet every search of the Obama number leads to exactly one person, Barack Obama.
Nicholas A. Burling, an assistant county prosecuting attorney in Ohio, looked at a complaint written by Susan Daniels and zeroed on this exact point in his letter to Daniels:
The statute requires us to prove, beyond a reasonable doubt, that President Obama is using a Social Security number that belongs to another person. You have not alleged to whom you believe this SSN actually belongs. …
As our investigation of your allegations has not returned any evidence of a crime, our office will not be pursuing any charges against President Obama.

That’s great. As has been pointed out here many times, the birthers have never been able to identify anyone else who has used Obama’ SSN.
Even if such evidence existed, I don’t know how Daniels concluded that prosecutors in Ohio would have jurisdiction. Obama has never lived in Ohio, and there is nothing to suggest that he has ever used his SSN in Ohio. And who would the victim be? The victims in identity theft are the person whose identify was stolen and the creditors who were defrauded.
As I’ve said before, my ex-wife has a SSN with a Pennsylvania prefix, but she has never lived in Pennsylvania and she was living in New York when it was issued. Her SSN could well be the result of a typographical error. Her SSN prefix is 210; 110 is New York.

Also missing in all of this is a substantive motive for the President using someone else’s social security number – especially given how easy it is to get one in the first place.
I think the birther though process goes something like, “If you make up an absurd enough like, people will accept it as the truth, because they will ask themselves “Why would someone tell such an obvious lie? It must be true!” Yeah, that’s the ticket!”

Daniel’s also claims that they just added the information about not relying on the 3 digit area code as being an accurate way to determine where the applicant applied after she started her investigation.
Did she start her investigation back in 2001? I ask because the web page that explains the 3 digit number hasn’t changed since 2001. Maybe Obama got to Wayback Machine? Of course, we all know that he has a time machine.

So, donna, how do you think Obama has managed to use a fraudulent number for so many years without the IRS or Social Security or any other agency noting the problem? It’s been my experience that if you report withholding using an incorrect number you get a notice. Others have noted that if you put the wrong number on a tax return it gets kicked back.
So, ignoring the conflict between the number of years since it was issued and the time Daniels says Obama has used it, how do you explain this apparent lack of official notice?
If true it all started long before Obama was in the public eye. Do you think the IRS, SS, etc., have been in on the conspiracy since the very beginning?

It appears we have both misunderstood each other. It seemed as though she was supporting Daniel’s assertions.
So Daniels’ claim appears to rest on the idea that there is no way anyone could ever make any kind of typographical error in a document (in this case, in the writing or misreading of a ZIP code in an application).
Therefore, any typographical error in a document is not in fact innocent, but a strong indicator of fraud, of intent to mislead.
Or, as she puts it:
“The core of the matter is that Barack Obama is using a social security number that has not cannot have properly been issued to him and that he has, therefore, been fraudulently representing his identity.”
And, as she says, there is no need even to prove this beyond “a reasonable doubt.” Anyone who makes a typographical error is guilty, pure and simple.

and i remember her, wayyyyy back, on wing nutzz daily “swearing on her reputation” that americans can’t get another SSN
just a 10 second search on their website and i found that, for one, people who have experienced identity theft are given new SSNs

Her very first ‘reason’ is blatantly inaccurate. False. A prevarication. A LIE.
There is absolutely no truth that any number is ‘exclusively’ reserved for the residents of ANY state. Never has been and is not now. The ranges were organized in for SS Office administration purposes only. Had Obama been using a SSN that was not his, and filing his taxes using his name (and we know he did) and someone else’s SSN the SSA would have caught him inside of 25 days, let alone 25 years.
Susan Daniels has been spreading this caca on this for long enough to KNOW beyond any doubt what-so-ever that that is the case. If she were to make that remark in court, under oath, she would be perjuring herself.
