I was reminded today of an order issued by US District Judge Henry T. Wingate on July 18, 2013 in the case of Taitz v. Democrat Party of Mississippi. Here is the order:
TEXT ONLY ORDER: Recently, Samuel Begley, counsel for defendants, telephoned this office asking permission to submit additional authority. The court did not speak to Mr. Begley, nor seek to learn the case authority offered. Defense may submit this additional authority by the end of the day (5 p.m.) on Friday, July 19, 2013. Should plaintiffs wish to respond, they may do so by the end of the day (5 p.m.) on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. The parties are not to submit narratives nor lengthy explanations regarding any submissions; the court seeks only the case cites, and a one or two sentence explanation of the parties purpose in submitting the authority. Submissions may be made by email to the chambers email address. The court anticipates issuing written opinions on the outstanding motions before the court within several days after the submission of any additional authority. Signed by District Judge Henry T. It’s been more than a several days since July 23, and orders have not been forthcoming, nor as far as I can tell any additional authority from Mr. Begley. The Honorable Wingate seems to be still judging. I found one published order from him November 30, and he is assigned to a case filed December 12. I guess the 2012 Presidential Election just isn’t that urgent.
On May 8, 2012 the attorneys representing the Mississippi Democratic Party Executive Committee submitted a Motion for Judgement on the Pleadings to Judge Wingate (please, your honor rule on this lawsuit on what both sides have already submitted to you). Things can move very slowly in the Deep South.
Its simply a case of someone continually using the stopwatch sub-weapon from Castlevania! 😉
That someone should switch to the Holy Water—a much better weapon against Taitz!
