Orly 4 AG

Kamala Harris
Intrepid birther attorney Orly Taitz has filed as a candidate for California’s Attorney General. Taitz previously ran for the US Senate and California secretary of state. She is running against 1-term incumbent Kamala Harris (pictured right). The California attorney general can serve a maximum of 2 terms. Harris made mortgage relief the center of her last campaign and is noted as an opponent of capital punishment.

Taitz (pictured left) announced [link to Taitz web site] that she received the necessary petition signatures and had filed today. Taitz also announced today that the had reached received 48,810,721 views of her web site.

Harris, endorsed by prominent California Democrats Pelosi and Feinstein, presents a sharp alternative to Taitz; the two disagree on just about everything. In 2012 Taitz [link to Taitz web site] Taitz threatened to include Harris in a RICO action if she allowed Obama to remain on the ballot in California.

There is local coverage of the Taitz AG filing at the San Luis Obispo Tribune.

    1. The usual outlets (Wonkette, HuffPo, etc.) have already posted articles mocking Taitz’s decision to run.

    2. California has a “jungle primary” — the top two vote getters, regardless of party affiliation, go on to the general election. So Taitz basically has to beat every other challenger.

    3. Taitz is running as a “no party preference.” I think this will cost her votes of people who would have voted for her (or anyone else) with an “R” by their name.

    4. The other two known challengers (as this point) are a solo practitioner in the Bay Area and a partner in a patent firm in its LA office.

Wow! Take a few moments to look at the pictures of the two candidates above. One looks like she is on high definition TV. The other looks like the rabbit ear antenna is out of adjustment and more tin foil needs to be applied to fine tune the picture. What a contrast. 😉

I nominate this comment for Quote of the Day.

Man, I really hope you’re talking about Harris.

  6. Lest I be accused of bias, those are the photographs from the two candidates’ Wikipedia articles.

  7. It’s a long shot, but all Taitz has to do is come in 2nd in the Primary. In the general election, it becomes really conservative v. really liberal. Harris only won by 55,000 votes last time.

Thanks Matt. I second the nomination. 🙂

No, Harris would be more like a Rolex.

It wasn’t the brand of watch I was concerned abouit … it was the choice of verb 😉

I’m sure that Orly Taitz has no idea what the Attorney General does.

I beg to differ. Both pictures are in focus and identical in definition.

It’s just appalling what Taitz being in it does to an image.

Please, somebody… think of the poor camera!

Aw, you must have cheated and read her campaign statement. Basically she will be the Usurper-Finder General and Chief Justice of Nullification.

Harris’ election in 2010 was more competitive because she wasn’t the incumbent and her opponent (LA’s DA) was a strong, serious opponent. (And no jungle primaries then.)

I am confident that a Republican sacrificial lamb with come in second this time around, and then lose in the general election.

  18. donna says:

Taitz, an Orange attorney and dentist, claims that Obama wasn’t born in the U.S. — despite his Hawaiian birth certificate — and is ineligible to be president.

Taitz has made — and lost — legal challenges to Obama’s presidency in several states.

Her campaign donation website says that if elected state attorney general, Taitz would — among other things — prosecute state officials who ignored evidence that Obama fabricated his birth certificate.

JOY!!!!! a reason (not) to elect her

  19. Thinker says:

As I recall, when she was running for Secretary of State, she often got the duties of the SoS and Attorney General mixed up. I definitely want to hear her expand on her nullification plans, though.

  20. Curious George says:

Let’s all contribute to her campaign to show how tolerant we are. Ew! >:-(

  21. Fred Flintstone says:

Orly is already trying to run away from the ridiculousness that she has posted on her website. There are two videos that are calling to question her viewpoints. After you read her “platform” most of it is not even within the power of an Attorney General – and she doesn’t even understand that the AG is not independent – the AG works for the Governor’s Office and the position that she favors (the six-way separation of California) she would be forced to defend the State (ironic) and that means this – there will be six Californias because she couldn’t win a court case if the opposition didn’t show up . . . oops, I forget, that’s already happened.

Look at these priceless YoutTube postings:

Sad, she doesn’t quite understand this…..but not surprising.

Heehee …. very well done. I wonder if anyone will be suckered in?

As shoddy as it is, still way too clean to come off as a genuine Taitz operation.

I wonder if they will reel in any suckers?

    ___________

Hyperbole marches on … with the rise of “Super” PACs, who would be caught dead relying on a plain-old PAC?

  25. Not shoddy enough?

I thought http://runorlyrun.com was fairly clean.

I looked at the Super PAC domain registration and it was only a couple days old, very much a starter project. I could have done it easier in WordPress.

Yes, http://runorlyrun.com is fairly clean (Taitz must have outsourced that one!); looks like Man was imitating it when he put up this Super PAC 😀
