Doc
Mrs. RC and I wish to pass along our condolences and our hope for safe travels.
So, we saw how awful May was for birthers. Any predictions on what June will hold for them? Personally, and this is just me judging trends, I see another long-haul birther blog shutting down, or getting abandoned.
same here doc
take care
Not sure there’s a connection but there is an Excessive Heat Warning in Phoenix today with temperatures expected to hit 110-112 degrees.
When I was a young lad growing up in Phoenix we didn’t see these sorts of temperatures until July and August.
i’ll echo rc’s and roadburner’s sentiments. my condolences to your family.
Sorry about your aunt, Doc. I hope that your happy memories of her will help you come to terms with your loss.
So I hear Orly Taitz is sitting on her patootie the day before the California Primary in which she is listed as a candidate for Attorney General… and she’s posting about how to circumvent presidential eligibility requirements for Ted Cruz…. because apparently she doesn’t care about upholding laws at all.
Why is she not out knocking on doors? Or is that activity too sultry for Mrs. Taitz?
Sorry to hear about your aunt. Doc. My condolences.
Arizona doesn’t just have crazy ‘ol Mike Zullo, they’ve also got this RWNJ:
“GOPer Changes Name To Cesar Chavez, Becomes A Dem To Run In Heavily Hispanic District”
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/scott-fistler-cesar-chavez-arizona-congress
OK, first they try to deny people they don’t like the right to vote, and now, they’re pretending to be the people they don’t like so that those people will vote Republican. What’s next . . . pretending to be human beings?
There’s a birfer-specific protest for Obama’s UC Irvine address, just announced at BR.
The last one they had, when Obama was there a month or two ago, seemed to draw only a dozen. If they get some of the otherwise-dissatisfied-with-Obama folks, they could outdraw Klayman’s nationwide “Put down the Qu’ran and come out with your hands up!” debacle đ
(And I’d like to add my condolences, too, Doc. As we both know from experience, some of these cut more deeply than others. Hope this isn’t one of them for you)
Jeez, that guy was trying to become my congressman.
Thanks, I’m posting this on my news feed right now.
I don’t think that’s possible.
You have my condolences!
It’s the price of living where I do.
Oh LOOK! Sheriff Joe is costing county taxpayers more money: http://www.azcentral.com/story/news/arizona/politics/2014/06/02/wilcox-arpaio-payout-lawsuit-abrk/9884143/
I think she also got lawyer’s fees. Add in interest for the two years it has taken to get this resolved and it will be even more ugly.
Courtesy of the twitfeed, yet another “any day now” reassurance, under the headline “Obama’s Birth Certificate Investigation About To Blow Open”.
I don’t think this quite makes the QOTD cut, but it’s still laugh-worthy:
I do wish I had the CGI skills to whip up a video of Zullo reading off those bullet points at a presser đ
Is that a variety of pancake? And if so, is it “fresh and fruity?”
And she’s saying there are many people (possibly 100+?) who want to sue him also. This is going to end up costing Maricopa County taxpayers some really big money.
SIlly birfers … as if IPs were as permanent as SSNs đ
Even more alarmingâand hopefully laughableâis the bit in that story about disbarred Andrew Thomas running for governor! And impugning his former victim, Wilcox, as being “twice-indicted” …. as if being indicted conferred guilt … and HE is the one that did the (false) indicting!
Tangled Tumbleweeds in a Desert House of Mirrors.
They can be pretty darned durable. Especially on a government network, where you want reliable tracking of which PC accessed secure systems.
Or even if it’s not on one: I keep my home IPA in the hosts files on my portable systems, so I can ssh into my home systems to get access to data and check on what’s going on when I’m working on-site. I’ve only had to change it once in the last 8 years or so.
But, for birfer propaganda purposes, all they really need to know is whether the netblock is allocated to the feds, to Hawaii, or to some ISP whose registration gives the (quite possibly false) impression that it was assigned to some specific geographic area.
Then they’ll just point a finger and direct the wrath of the flying monkeys, without regard to whether their guess is correct.
Yes, that seems to appropriately describe our situation, strangely enough.

Meanwhile Wilcox is running to take Ed Pastor’s seat in my Congressional District (Ed Pastor recently announced his retirement) and he has endorsed her as his preferred candidate:

Well, I don’t know if it’ll come this month, but I have what I think is a credible candidate for The Big Reveal.
Last month, Iheard part of an interview that Zullo did with some talk-radio clown other than Gallups (which, alas, I neglected to bookmark), in which he was talking about the “PDF anomalies” again (and hilariously, _still_ getting the PDF terminlogy and concepts wrong, after almost 3 years of “investigating”).
And they’re talking about “IP addresses” again (which we haven’t heard for a while), while bringing up the “NSA document” in a way that suggests they don’t understand it.
So, here’s what I think is likely on the way (not with enough confidence to place bets, but enough that I don’t think it’ll be terribly embarrassing if I’m proven wrong):
1. Drag out the “forged PDF” zombie, dressed in a new suit with a “White House Staff” security pass clipped to it. The name on the badge will be either Gibbs (because he’s taken credit for posting it), or one of his underlings.
2. Slather its face with “NSA Document Obfuscation Manual” makeup in the hope that no one will recognize the previously-debunked claim as the same old stuff.
3. Toss out a “universe-shattering” accusation that the WH either bribed or coerced Hawaii into verifiying the “forgery”.
4. Accuse “the Obots” of either being duped by, or complicit in, the “disinformation campaign” to pass the “anomalies” off as ordinary artifacts.
5. Blame their previous screw-ups on being misled by WH’s fiendishly-clever strategy of misdirection.
At that point, Bonsall’s hypothesized exit strategy of “We did what we could, but it’s our of our jurisdiction. Now it’s up to you to lobby Congress. Good luck with that” kicks in, and the exciting e-book sequel “CCP 2: The Twisted Trail to the WHite House” goes on sale (but probably not at WND, because Zullo is still pissed at Corsi).
This doesn’t account for Shurf Joke’s “2nd investigation”. I’m thinking maybe they’ll go for “complicit” at step 4, and accuse Obots of “obstruction” for trying to whack Zullo with a series of clue-by-fours.
BR has certainly been tolerant of commenters advocating the execution or assassination of public figures, but now he has a post up pushing for the execution of the President right in the title.
The post opens with quoting a piece of US Code to justify this conclusion. It will surprise nobody that the cited statute is completely inapplicable in at least three ways, starting with the fact that it’s from the UCMJ.
The stupid over there is just breathtaking sometimes.
Its their typical brand of “We got our asses beaten like we were mooks from a Sonny Chiba flick!” saber rattling. They figure that if they act all tough and angry, people will forget the heaping embarrassment they suffered.
The Orly Taitz Super PAC web site now admits that it was a spoof.
http://orlytaitzsuperpac.com
Is that legal?
Yup. She’s a public figure, and it’s parody. 1st Amendment baby.
(particularly since they make clear that they neither collected nor even had a mechanism to collect donations).
Fortunately or not, the rules about death threats to public officials require a reasonable apprehension of the threats being carried out. It’s pretty obvious that none of the intended targets of these threats believe that the people making them would act. If Star FALCON Star ever had one of those uncomfortable conversations with some Law Enforcement Authority, I think we’d hear about it with the maximum spin possible. I’ve seen a few posts where the likes of “BS,ESQ” get just barely to the line, but I don’t think they quite cross it. I hate to suggest that this is because they are smart enough not to do it, but they might be.
Cowards like birdboy have no intention of harming the President. They want someone else to harm the President.
In non-Orly California election news, Sandra Fluke placed second in her primary race for California State Senate, and moves on to the general election. I’m hoping this deeply upsets all the people who are inclined to be upset about such things.
Fans of nutty elections can also look to Okieland for a fix: Tom Coburn is retiring! Commence a truly “special” special election! It’s a TP-wipin’ Wingnut Parade!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Senate_special_election_in_Oklahoma,_2014
And you thought Coburn was bad …
That will be one of the races where both candidates on the ballot will be from the same party. In fact, the Republicans didn’t even run a candidate in the primary in Fluke’s district.
Foggy posted a link to this Phoenix New Times article by Stephen Lemons. I think this is the Universe Shattering news. The Universe that may be shattered may not be the one Gallups was thinking about though.
http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/valleyfever/2014/06/joe-arpaio-investigating-judge-murray-snow-doj.php
BWAHAHAHAHA!!! The scammers being scammed!!!
Indeed! If Lemons’ story is only half true it is going to be devastating for Arpaio and Zullo.
“I donât want to go off topic and so I will only say that comments from politicians and pundits on a broad range of recent events evoke the same response from me: ‘Well, he would, wouldnât he?'”
– Doc
What recent events? Have there been recent events?!
Do you ever wonder if Zullo and Arpaio have nothing but claim they do in order to see how the people they suspect of something react to their claims? Smokin’ ’em out or something like that?
Kind of like in those 70s cop shows?
No. That’s really stupid.
Listen, here’s the truth. The Clintons were the Original Birthers. Period. They are Democrats and were the first people to publicly state, unequivocally, that Obama was not a naturalized citizen. Once is sunk in to Hillary’s head that the Lib mainstream media WANTED Obama, she decided that being Secretary of State would put a check mark on her resume. Boy did it ever.
And by the way, recall how sometime in June 2008, Hillary made a comment, something like, “I’m not dropping out because ANYTHING can happen between now (June) and November”. And she was of course referring to RFK being assassinated in June, 1968. Go Google it, everyone thought it was a bizarre statement to make, but also go Google “The Clinton Body Count” and you’ll learn that there have been over 100 suspicious deaths, amd the only common denominator is that the people were all connected to the Clintons, and were either investigating the countless scandals, or were on the verge of publishing something, or were about to testify in a a matter concerning the Clintons, do you see a pattern emerging?
We still haven’t seen the results of the Cold Case Posse headed by Mike Zullo, it was due around March 31, 2014 but the last update was, “We keep getting new information, new leads, so we’re still sorting it all out”. Here’s what we do know:
1) The birth certificate has irrefutably been proven to be phony. It was created in Adobe illustrator. Period.
2) Someone feloniously uploaded the b/c to the web from a White House computer. They know the volume number of the computer.
3) The draft card is phony, period. It is date-time stamped with two digits, “80”. That means it was stamped in 80 AD. Period. Any First Year law student could tell you that the draft card CANNOT be assumed to have stamped in 1780, or 1880, or 1980, or it would be stamped with those four digits as are ALL documents which are cancelled by the Post Office.
4) There exists in Kenya a birth certificate for Barack Hussein Obama, dated August 4, 1961 and notarized by the Deputy Registrar.
5) The Bates machine that assigns numbers to birth certificates automatically increments itself by one digit. There can be no logical or plausible reason for Obama’s b/c to be assigned the numbers 10641 the DAY BEFORE the Nordyke Twins were assigned the numbers 10637 and 10638, because, how could the Bates machine “de-increment” itself?. Nor can there be a reason fo the for the machine to then SKIP OVER Obama’s number and then stamp a b/c with the number 10642 on August 5, 1961. You’d have to be a fool to believe it.
6) All the controversy can disappear if the Governor of Hawaii, a close personal friend of Obama, would release as promised the long form birth certificate.
7) Obama’s OWN GRANDMOTHER stated she was in the room in Kenya when he was born.
8) Obama’s own literary agent was told by Obama that he was born in Kenya. That information is readily available on two different web sites.
9) James Oregno of Kenya, a lawyer and member of Parliament stated, “how could a young man born here in Kenya, who is not even a native American, become the President of America?”
It’s rather obvious, isn’t it, that A & Z and the CCP have nothing, but claim they do. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that they thought they had something last November, only to realize after they advertised their “universe-shattering” discovery that it was nothing but an illusion–perhaps an illusion created by Dennis Montgomery, the computer con man whose relationship with Arpaio and the MCSO is described in the recent Phoenix New Times article
Wow. To repeat so many STUPID lies all at once, with such a tone of authority. That’s something.
You must be new here. If one of our regulars is bored, maybe they’ll detail the reasons you’re wrong, since you apparently are unable to do the basic research outside of the birther fact-free bubble. Your assertions are right out of Birther 101.
Or maybe President Hillary can clear that up for you during her two terms in office đ
Have you considered posting these opinions on BirtherReport.com?
Some of your claims are not accepted by some among President Obama’s opposition.
One other question: Do you at least acknowledge that President Obama is the current sitting President of the United States, or do you think his ineligibility means that the United States currently has no President?
Well, believing that Obama is not a naturalized citizen does not make one a birther. I’m pretty sure that all the regulars who post here would agree that Obama is not a naturalized citizen. I assume you actually meant to write “natural born citizen” instead of “naturalized citizen.” But either way, if the Clintons were the first people to publicly and unequivocally make statements about Barack Obama’s eligibility, surely there is a record of these quotes, right? Please come back and provide them. I would also note that, even if there is a record of Hillary herself making birfer-friendly comments (rather than somebody else’s account of her saying them)–which there is not–I don’t think the mere act of questioning Obama’s citizenship in 2008 makes one a birther. What makes one a birther is not accepting the plethora of evidence that proves to any reasonable person that he was born in Hawaii and is a natural born citizen. It’s the fact of not accepting the answer than makes a person a birfer. It’s not the fact of asking the question (which, I emphasize, Hillary did not do).
They have been smoking for 3 years now. I would thing that whatever is going to be smoked out has long since been Smoked, and somehow I think its late in the day to be waiting on a reaction…
Thanks, Chippy, for reviewing some of the relevant birther claims.
So in exchange for letting Obama get re-elected, what do you think Arpaio and crew gained from this strategy?
I saw Stephen Colbert do that the other night, with that lady from “The Americans.” He almost had her a time or two.
Actually, I think the way it works is you don’t have NOTHING, you’ve got SOMETHING but it’s not enough. These goofballs don’t have ANYTHING.
Four more years……………to scam the gullible?
“Well, it worked on TV!”, does seem about Arpaio and Zullo’s speed. The fact that things don’t work in real life, they way they do in fiction, is exactly why so many birthers are baffled that they keep losing.
Isolate! Zoom in! Enhance!
Every time they do that on a show, I shout “You can’t DO that with rasterized images!”
But the rubes eat it up. Case in point, the current troll.
You mean those TV shows where the scriptwriters have already figured out what the ending should be, and the characters spend their time looking for “evidence” that matches the predetermined conclusion?
Yeah, there is a strong similarity.
They’ve been blowing smoke for 27 months now.
I just listened to a bit of the BR interview with Lord Monckton, and it appears that the good Lord is trying to profit by moving into the void left by Gallup’s and Our Pie Hole’s failure to make the donators feel like progress is really being made with the Obama investigation.
Lordy Moncky is telling Volin’s audience, that the Sheriff’s Kit just wasn’t good enough, and HE (Lordy, Lordy) knows how to draft documents that will make the Sheriff’s Kits MUCH more useful in bring Obama to heel, as it were. He points out that this special ability he has to accomplish this goal has nothing to do with the fact that he is not a US Citizen, or a US Lawyer, or for that matter, ANY nation’s lawyer. He’s just going to help the stupid Birthers be more effective in pursuing Obama.
And he expects nothing in return except lodging and to be compensated for “about a month” of his time. It’s always about the money.
Oh, Birthy’s! Oh, Birthy’s! There’s your wriggling worm! Please bite!
I thought birther lore was that it was created in Photoshop? How do you even perform all those alleged image manipulations in Illustrator?
Chippy55:2) Someone feloniously uploaded the b/c to the web from a White House computer. They know the volume number of the computer.
Several issues. First, what computers have “volume numbers”? They have MAC addresses and possibly some sort of registration number pasted onto it by the owner (my company does that to keep track of hardware), but that’s not a “volume number”.
Chippy55:3) The draft card is phony, period. It is date-time stamped with two digits, â80âł. That means it was stamped in 80 AD. Period.
So the comparison stamp used by none other than Zullo and the CCP as “real” that says “H NOLULU” was stamped in the non-existing town of H Nolulu (or “Hnolulu”, gee, that almost sounds like “Cthulhu”)?
Chippy55:Any First Year law student could tell you that the draft card CANNOT be assumed to have stamped in 1780, or 1880, or 1980, or it would be stamped with those four digits as are ALL documents which are cancelled by the Post Office.
Uhm, no, if there’s a handwritten “1980” on the application card, it can be assumed that “80” places the stamp in 1980 because it cannot logically have been stamped 100 years before being filled, nor practically 100 years after.
But good to know our decade-spanning conspiracy was thwarted because we couldn’t find a “19” to go on a stamp. Damn you birthers, now we’ll have to start all over again! Our Beloved Alien Overlords aren’t pleased, I tell you. I think I’ll be sent to Gu’an Tanam’O IX in the Rigel system soon…
Birther lore is like a strainer for idiots. Only the very dumbest people like Chippy55 become enmeshed.
After long, intense and truly exhaustive work, I can with a great deal of confidence finally reveal the true identity of Birfoon Reports *FALCON*.
It wasn’t easy but I give you…..GECKO45….Mall Ninja
http://lonelymachines.org/mall-ninjas/
The hate, the delusion, the racism, the closeted homosexual frisson, the gun fetish and the outright inanity/insanity……it all makes sense now….. đ
Stamped in Rome in 80 A.D., obviously. But as there was a fire in Rome that year, documents were damaged or lost. So that when this registration form was found in the archives, it needed to be half-reconstructed, and the person doing the reconstruction just wrote in “1980,” assuming it had to be the 1900s, not first century Rome, never imagining the truth.
See

I’d forgotten about GECKO45. I love that story with all my heart.
Holy crap, I’d forgotten how hilarious that thread is; once the other guy chimes in, it’s just like ScottKB and birdboy getting each other excited.
I lives to serve…… đ
So, was there every a decision in MS? Or is it still ongoing?
The plot of DBZ clips along at a faster pace than that!
… creeps on in its petty pace, to the last syllable of recorded time…
What cause is there for urgency, other than our own amusement?
I have to admit, I am aware that my amusement is not a national priority, rather a personal responsibility. Thus, I really appreciate nutters like les birfers who freely contribute of themselves to the cause of my own amusement. đ
Oh, I just enjoy there being a fresh loss, to give the birthers another good gut check.
We’re renaming it to Jarndyce and Jarndyce II.
Isn’t that the only reason we’ve been following them for 6 years? It’s our own birther Soap Opera.
Arizona’s politics of the pathetic

Off Topic:
Doc, I submit a new article on Breitbart about Ben Shapiro’s new plan for getting rid of Obama without impeachment. He has the brilliant idea of using a RICO case! But not, for obvious reasons, prosecuted by Eric Holder’s Justice Department. Instead, he sees a civil RICO suit filed by private citizens as the answer, since Congress clearly is not pursuing its duty by impeaching the president.
It’s all laid out in this article about his new book, The People vs. Barack Obama: The Criminal Case Against the Obama Administration.
This is going to work!!
Didn’t someone try that somewhere before? đż
Yes.
And “after”.
And even “during”.
Congress isn’t pursuing its duty of legislation either. I think a theoretical impeachment for non crimes isn’t going to be high on the list for a rico if that was the case.

Theory of the Day.
Regular folks can’t understand why some MSM and Congress people betray the USA on a daily basis….. on live TV…. with seemingly zero shame.
Here at BR, we’re curious why Dr Cornholio and Foggy_Fart are such devoted Communists despite their Regime crumbling in its final hours. Seems like a risky hobby.
So here’s my Theory of the Day.
Perhaps the Ostapo’s ‘useful idiots’ have terminal AIDS, but the Regime offers them a cutting-edge miracle ‘cure’ as long as they obey the Ostapo.
If they stop obeying, the Ostapo cuts off their medication, and the AIDS takes over and they die months later.
This could be true for all sorts of diseases.
Has anybody checked for patterns of life-threatening diseases among Obots, useful idiots, MSM shills, folks making wild moves on behalf of the Ostapo?
Sub-theory: Maybe Hussein (gay hooker from Indonesia) purposely gave lots of folks AIDS to get the ball rolling. Maybe there’s more to the 3 murdered Trinity Church choir members than just “Killing them b/c they got gay with Obama.”

When I think anthropologists travel to far regions of the globe to study primitive cultures and they have this next door.
If you lived next door to that, you’d travel to far regions of the globe, too.
Every chance you got.
D*mn! D*mn! Double d*mn! I wish these nutcases would change their names to something like Shikelgruber before they go off half cocked, instead of sullying the names of some of my Miller ancestors.
Well, looks like BR is back to pimping the completely powerless opinions of former-this, and ex-that. đ
True, but one finds this surprising comment left by our own john,
“As much as birthers would like NBC to mean a person born to 2 US citizens, the court have ruled that is CLEARLY NOT SO. To date, their have been over a half a dozen court rulings that have ruled Obama is an NBC.”
Much howling and throwing of poo.
I interpreted this whole thing as
John: I think I’m starting to come to my senses! This has all been for nothing…
The other birthers: Shut up, Obot! BLARBLEGARLGE!!!
I don’t think John is ready to give up being a birther, but I think he’s finally understanding that there is nothing birthers can do, but wait out the remainder of Obama’s presidency.
Sorry for the double post, but a thought came to me.
In the past, Falcon and friends have compared Doc posting multiple articles in one day, to panicked behavior.
BR has posted no less than three articles dated for today, and its not even lunch time(central US time). So does that indicate panic? By Falcon’s definition it sure does. đ
The homophone fail is not surprising at all đ
You better laugh, Keith.
About this blog

Well, here’s something new in birtherstan. Loretta Fuddy’s brother is suing Pratt & Whitney and the air charter company over her death. I assume it’s in federal court, but I don’t see it on the docket yet. Maybe Butterdezillion will get a chance to testify in court about her ninja diver theory.
http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/hawaii-officials-brother-sues-fatal-crash-24061574
A tacit admission by Fuddy’s brother that his sister was not assassinated.
Poor Birfers; they won’t be able to use grieving relatives to advance their ridiculous hypothesis this time.
Hardly: this is Monumental Earth-Shattering Ironclad Conclusively Irrefutable Proof™ that the Ostapo has gotten to him and told him that, if he doesn’t do his part to prop up the “accident” story, he’ll be next.
We need to get Doc to start another s3kr1t thread so we can run a pool on how long it takes Birdboy to suggest this.
But don’t you see? Obot Ninjas infiltrated the company, and sabotaged the exact parts that went into that exact engine! This proves that Obama’s BC was forged.
Not so fast, sane people!
B.R. reprints an excerpt via AP @ Star Advertiser titled, ‘Loretta Fuddy’s brother sues over fatal crash’
and the lead story line reads:
” An engine manufacturer in Canada is to blame for a small plane’s ocean landing and the death of Hawaii’s former health director, her brother said in a lawsuit filed Monday.”
and the first lunatic comment published by B.R. under the story IS:
“Obama is an engine manufacturer in Canada?”
Youse guize are all nuts.
That pink bit on the map up north of the U.S. of A. is ‘CANADIA’.
‘My’ Prime Minister says so! Can’t yas ever get anything right?
BR is kinda quiet today. I think the admin is struggling to find a good straw man, to divert attention away from the ugliness in Nevada.
It is not clear to me that the New Times story seems significant to birthers. When you’re used to simply denying any fact that you find inconvenient, it kind of frees you from having to worry about emerging stories.
Ted Cruz no longer a Canadian citizen
also included is a copy of “Sen. Ted Cruz Canadian Renunciation Letter”
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/208897-cruz-officially-no-longer-canadian-citizen
Too bad, becasue the birthers have said forever that its the citizenship AT BIRTH that counts. Obama hasn’t been a Kenyan Citizen for 27 years.
Playing footsie with the birthers will bite Cruz in the ass eventually.
That letter looks ‘shopped. I can tell from the pixels, and having seen a lot of ‘shops in my day.
Holy Crap! Eric Cantor just lost the Republican primary to a Tea Party candidate.
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/cantor-may-just-lose-his-primary-fight-with-tea-partier
Look at the numbers……56% to 44%. Ugly!
This does not bode well for whatever chances there may have been for any grown up conduct in Washington over the next couple years.
And with a very low turnout in a very conservative district. Apparently, the challenger ran a single-issue campaign, focusing on immigration and Cantor’s alleged support for the DREAM Act. Nothing stirs up old white folks like the threat of poor, huddled masses, yearning to breath free.
Yes total vote was under 80,000. It will be interesting to see the analysis of how it broke down by age, etc., and especially Richmond area residents versus the rural areas of the district.
My guess is there are a lot of very nervous folks facing election two years from now in the Grand Old Party.
Brat quoted scripture: âI went to my family and this little note is hanging on my door every day and I read this every day. Itâs Luke 18:27. Jesus replied, âWhat is impossible with man is possible with God.ââ
This is the first time a House majority leader has lost a primary race since 1899.
Who is David Brat?
Brat, an economics professor at Randolph-Macon College in Ashland, Va., had support from radio host Laura Ingraham, who hosted a rally with him in a Richmond suburb last week that centered upon Mr. Bratâs opposition to immigration reform.
Brat appeared more interested in campaigning to make a point than in winning. The Washington Post reported last month that he no-showed meetings with key conservative activists in the capital. His excuse: He had final exams to grade.
There are clues to Mr. Bratâs ideology in his academic CV. His current book project is titled âEthics as Leading Economic Indicator? What went Wrong? Notes on the Judeo-Christian Tradition and Human Reason.â
His other published works include the titles âGod and Advanced Mammon â Can Theological Types Handle Usury and Capitalism?â and âAn Analysis of the Moral Foundations in Ayn Rand.â
Brat will face Democratic Party nominee Jack Trammell â a professor at Randolph-Macon College, the same school where Brat works â in the general election this fall.
the 7th district in VA
57% republican
Median income $64,751
Ethnicity 74.3% White, 17.1% Black, 3.9% Asian, 4.9% Hispanic, 0.3% Native American, 2.1% other
According to Birther Report, Larry Klayman won his defamation suit:
“On June 10, Larry Klayman and paralegal Dina James won the case against Judicial Watch/Fitton & “unindicted co-conspirator” Taitz along with $181,000 in compensatory and punitive damages!!!”
I wonder if the anti-DREAM Act Prof. Brat is familiar with this “Judeo-Christian” tradition concerning the treatment of aliens: “The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.” Leviticus 19:34
Media ‘pundits’ are trying to blame it on immigration reform. Cantor has been very equivocal on that as far as I can tell.
My guess would be that it is the low turnout that killed him. His internal polls had him at ahead by 34%, presumably he thought that made it a cakewalk. But if you don’t get your voters out, then the more energized anti-everything voter (see how carefully I skate around the description I really want to use) can swamp the complacent candidate that makes no effort.
That is why the GOP is trying to suppress the vote, they can’t win any other way.
I may be misquoting Paul Krugman, who said (and I agree with him) that the madness of the GOP is the greatest political issue facing the US at this time.
I used to run an IRC channel called #ChristianAlien and that text was our channel motto. It was for people who felt alienated from the church over some event or other.
In contrast, Lindsey Graham, also an immigration reformer, won with 56.4% of the vote against 6 Tea Party rivals (this is 7 points better than the polling numbers from Clemson University predicted). The general election may get interesting if Thomas Ravenel (well-known and from a political family) runs as an independent of the Ron Paul persuasion.
And in other shocking SC results, Joe Farmer lost his bid to become Agriculture Commissioner. đŻ
Sounds strange, but
“Klayman recorded or otherwise noted some truly stupid outbursts by Fitton and Ruffley in depositions and testimony and played them back to the jury multiple times, helping to cement a favorable verdict. Damning deposition and testimony material sealed Judicial Watch’s fate, leading to the Tuesday verdict by the local Jury of mostly black and Hispanic Citizens. The jury didn’t seem very engaged during most of the proceedings but evidently did not miss the really salient points.”
Rings not untrue. ThatÂ’s what you get when you put “justice” in the hands of laypeople.
there were MORE people who voted in this primary than in the 2012 primary of a presidential
since VA has an open primary, how many democrats voted for brat?
brat had no major tea party group supporting him and just 3 people on his campaign – one was 23 years old
perhaps you’re being unfair. let larry savor his little victory; they are so few and far between. when two adversaries face off in court, one almost always wins, even when it’s just two monkeys flinging poo.
Considering Larry’s sordid past in the support and maintenance case, JW should have read the whole inappropriate conduct piece into the record, willing to bet the jury would have been less enamoured with The Leisure Suit then…… specifically
{Âś25} The issues raised by Klayman involve credibility assessments made by the magistrate. Klayman challenges these findings. The magistrate heard evidence from the children’s pediatrician who reported allegations of sexual abuse to children services, and from a social worker at children services who found that sexual abuse was “indicated.” Although the social worker’s finding was later changed to “unsubstantiated” when Klayman appealed, the magistrate explained that the supervisor who changed the social worker’s finding did not testify. The magistrate pointed out that he was obligated to make his own independent analysis based upon the parties and the evidence before him. In doing so, the magistrate found on more than one occasion [Klayman] act[ed] in a grossly inappropriate manner with the children. His conduct may not have been sexual in the sense that he intended to or did derive any sexual pleasure from it or that he intended his children would. That, however, does not mean that he did not engage in those acts or that his behavior was proper
{Âś26} The magistrate further found it significant that although Klayman denied any allegations of sexual abuse, he never denied that he did not engage in inappropriate behavior with the children. The magistrate further found it notable that Klayman, “for all his breast beating about his innocence * * * [he] scrupulously avoided being questioned by anyone from [children services] or from the Sheriff’s Department about the allegations,” and that he refused to answer any questions, repeatedly invoking his Fifth Amendment rights, about whether he inappropriately touched the children. “Even more disturbing” to the magistrate was the fact that Klayman would not even answer the simple question regarding what he thought inappropriate touching was. The magistrate stated that he could draw an adverse inference from Klayman’s decision not to testify to these matters because it was a civil proceeding, not criminal.
Orly seems to think she’s going to gain enough votes in the next couple of weeks to go head to head with Kamala Harris (thereby overtaking the 5th, 4th, 3rd and 2nd finishers) LMAO
“I have now close to 117,000 votes, 116,734 votes to be exact. Remember, Dave Brat defeated Cantor with only 35,000 votes. Ballot count in CA will continue till July 4th”
http://www.orlytaitzesq.com/i-have-now-close-to-117000-votes-116734-votes-to-be-exact-remember-dave-brat-defeated-cantor-with-only-35000-votes-ballot-count-in-ca-will-continue-till-july-4th/
The way she equates Virginia’s 7th district vote totals with her race for Attorney General for the entire state of California is HILARIOUS!
To my mind, from reading that, the Magistrate seems to have come to some reasonable conclusions.
Perhaps there will be an appeal.
I always hesitate to second-guess a jury because they were there, and I wasn’t.
I do not criticize the jury. I am sure they did the best they could. But a jury falls much easier prey to a juridical scam than a learned jurist.
Crazy Martha Trowbridge is back with a more insane article regarding the President’s identity. In 1975 he was in Boston according to her.
http://terribletruth.wordpress.com/2014/06/11/baris-battle-of-boston/
What a nut case! She is beyond Butterdizillion levels of nuttery. Martha could have saved a lot of words and just written that all those black guys look alike to her.
I tend to disagree. Trowbridge seems to have some issues alright, what with her desire to put herself in the position of a woman left with a fatherless child by her black lover – possibly because she had a similar experience herself or in her close family.
But that’s pretty average traumatic experience stuff compared to the Nuttery of Buttery or other prominent birthers like Orly.
All she needs to do is quadruple her current vote total (now at 121,162) and she’ll be right in the thick of things – provided nobody else gets any more votes.
Because we all know that the longer time passes, the greater number of votes are tabulated. đ

A self styled “Freedom Fighter” just can’t refrain from yapping about the felonies he committed at the Bundy Ranch. Even gets his name (Ryan Payne), the make and model of his vehicle, and his picture in the paper, and he just can’t stop bragging about all the stuff he did.
Here’s a sample of his application for a 30 year vacation at Club Fed:
He sounds like quite the loser.
And speaking as a former recon Platoon commander, he doesn’t have a clue what he’s talking about.
So the guys who believe they are being pursued by drones simultaneously believe they themselves have tactical superiority?
That’s really stupid.
About Cantor. One of the talking points the GOP pursues is that they are the defenders of the Jewish faith and the true friends of Israel, and that Democrats are a bunch of anti-Semites. The reflection of this at a place like BR runs along the lines of Obama being a Nazi, Soros being a Nazi collaborator, and alleging at every opportunity that the Nazis were leftists. When insisting that the US was intended by the Founding Fathers to be a Christian nation governed by Christian faith, they sometimes remember to say Judeo-Christian.
All of this sits opposite the reality that Jewish voters generally break Democratic by a wide margin, and the Republican party elects very few Jewish politicians. Of the 535 seats in the current Congress, 34 are Jewish. Of those, one is Republican. That one is Eric Cantor. Looks like next Congress the number will be zero.
The GOP loves the land and the state of Israel; Jews, not so much.
The Party of Ideas, not the Party of Realities; the Party of Say, not the Party of Do. An Israel full of Jews and Arabs, a sprinkling of other Mediterranean ethnicities, and a further sprinkling of people from around the world, etc, etc, just isn’t their idea of a perfect Israel đ
The more dominate Israel gets, the closer its territory matches that of the Biblical era, the closer the end of days. Then we just need to breed up enough pure white goat and cows and we are in the fast track for rapture.
Dave, Bonsall, JPotter,
A corollary to this is the RWNJ position–at least among those who are not outwardly/proudly antisemitic–is that liberal Jews are faux Jews.
FYI, back in 2009, I had a little online run-in that, in retrospect, reminds me a bit of what Doc recently went through with slander-mongering Carl Gallups. It was just before Rosh Hashanah, when a RWNJ Jewish guy named Daniel Greenfield published an utterly disgusting/slanderous blog article about liberal Jews, and said that one can recognize that they are fake Jews when they mention “tikkun olam”.
It was clear to me that Greenfield’s intended audience was not Jewish, so his slanderous nonsense especially pissed me off. I left a comment demanding he stop it and reminding him that he should know better–especially with the High Holidays coming, when “tikkun olam” is in the liturgy and slander is what “the Adversary” does to thwart our prayers and atonement before G-d.
Then, in reply to my comment, Bob L. Beers–a Christian RWNJ politician in Nevada–left a comment calling me a “faux Jew”. I noticed that Beers also wrote his own RWNJ articles, and had said, “Check out the question of Israelâs right to exist with a follower of Tikkun Olam, the perverted lefty teaching of so-called Jewish social justice….”
So, to both Greenfield’s and Beers’ articles, I posted a link to a 1997 speech delivered by the then-Chief Rabbi of the British Commonwealth to a large audience of other orthodox rabbis, on the topic of Tikkun Olam. http://advocacy.ou.org/1997/tikkun-olam-orthodoxys-responsibility-to-perfect-g-ds-world/ Of course, the Chief Rabbi’s orthodox position was an inconvenient truth and, accordingly, the RWNJs ignored it.
Their articles are still online, though the comments sections seem wiped clean. But I do still have one quote from Beers, since at the time I saw fit to write a complaint to Jewish leaders in Beers’ political district and still have one of his quotes that I included therein:
“It seems [J. D. Sue] doth protest too much. The liberals pretending to be Jewish typically line up behind those who support the creation of a so-called Palestinian state at Israel’s expense. Can’t really call one who thinks that is a good thing a member of Israel’s tribe of Judah. A good portion of the Torah is about loving the homeland. Handing that land over to those who have called for Israel’s destruction seems rather a treacherous act, doesn’t it? Daniel points this out rather well. What angers the faux Jews is that he is right.”
If I recall correctly, I at some point told Beers that I was in fact an avid supporter of Israel, and he then warned his readers that I was a suspicious and potentially dangerous character with an agenda. You know, typical birther-type stuff.
On a final note, Carl Gallops appears to be in the try-to-convert-Israeli-Jews-to-Christianity-by-pushing-a-book-written-by-Gallops business, as much as he’s in the bithering business….
Anyone listened to to the Gallops like a horse show on Friday ?? Anything new ? I suppose – not ……..
Don’t forget the red bull. You gotta have the red bull.
According to the griping at BR, you suppose correctly: nothing birferish at all. Not even a hint as to when they’re going to announce their next excuse.
I’m sorta wondering whether Corporal Zullo got the word that the “NSA” in the title of his new universe-shattering document stands for “No Such Animal”. Or “Nope: Suckered Again”…
Are you suggesting another Millerite scenario, in which the people jumping off buildings might need to supply their own wings?
What, they’re sponsoring the rapture too!?!
Do you think their tagline is just a coincidence??
He is of no concern.

In the BR comments (in reply to Bob68), Mark Gillar says,
No one is waiting for the right time to release the information. The LFBC and selective service registration investigation resulted in information regarding other crimes. Arapio wants the second investigation to be completed before all information is released. Frankly, there is now so much evidence regarding so many crimes, I don’t now how it could possible be covered thoroughly in one press conference.
My humble, personal opinion is that everything they have should be released by October 1st at the very latest. It would be one hell of an October surprise. I’m not going to get caught up in making an actual prediction as to when it will be released, we’ve seen the danger of doing that in the past. I want to make it clear that I’m stating my preference would be that all information be released by October 1st. I haven’t been given an actual release date.
As for Brewer, they got to her the same way they got to Mike Evans, Fox News and others. I suppose she should be thankful that they didn’t get to her the way they got to Andrew Breitbart, Loretta Fuddy, Donald Young or Larry Bland.
http://www.birtherreport.com/2014/06/attention-questions-about-obamas.html
And birthers are actually thanking him for the update.
My own, humble, personal opinion is that an Oct 2012 ‘surprise’ would have been far more hellacious LOL
the RWNJÂ’s seem to have problems with words in religeons founded by semitic peoples, hence the repetiton ad nauseum of the lie they tell concerning Taqiyya whenever those ebil moooslums are mentioned
Interesting quote from Gillar at BR:
It sounds like all this is coming from Montgomery, since it’s pretty well established that the only way Corporal Zullo could detect a crime would be if he were the victim.
So, do we think Monty has opened the floodgates the way he did with the feds? Secret instructions for selling MANPADS to al Qaeda hidden in the email headers? Instructions for defeating our air defense radar systems steganographically encoded in the LFBC PDF? The possibilities are endless, when dealing with someone who’s so technologically illiterate he can’t even master Twitter…
Found in the twitfeed: Orly has filed a “Notice of Treason” in Taitz v Colvin. Which is mixed in, in the usual Orly style, with a motion for reconsideration of the summary judgment,.
Which seems to have been accepted and docketed by the clerk, according to Orly’s blog.
I thought I read that, once the court orders the clerk to close the case, that couldn’t be done, and her only allowable next step would be an appeal. Did I misunderstand?
Here’s the order: http://www.scribd.com/doc/224356314/Taitz-v-Colvin-Ecf-37-Order
So, because Orly filed an emergency motion, she’s sure the court is going to hear her case? WHAT? Can someone look up 1:13-cv-01878-ELH and verify that that the docket states what she says it does, please? She makes so many mistakes that I can’t take her word on anything.
What does Colvin, as commissioner for the Social Security Administration, have to do with the Taliban release? Does she seriously think she can just throw a completely unrelated emergency motion about a completely different topic onto a lawsuit she had against the SSA? LOL Wow, is she an idiot!
—-
That is a very good description of her usual litigation strategy.
How did she manage to pass the California Bar?
—-
If a post-judgment motion for reconsideration is timely filed, one generally can stop the clock on the time to file an appeal, so the lower court can reconsider whether it made a legal error or whether new material facts have been discovered that support a reconsideration.
Of course, to Orly, any decision against her is a legal error, and every act of the President is new material evidence of treason…
—–
That, of course, is “the $64,000 question”.
What legal ramifications might be involved with Orly suggesting that the Social Security Administration is withholding evidence the SSA claims it doesn’t have?
The Republicans also have zero black members in the House and one in the Senate. The one Senator, Tim Scott, was appointed to the position.
of course they’re thanking him. they’re desperate and starving for any kind of release date and this is how gillar and gallups keep their golden geese fed.
And there are only 20 Republican women in the House as opposed to 62 who are Democrats. And of the 20 women in the Senate, 4 are Republicans.
They’re just not all that into people other than white males.
You’re a funny person! None. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
Well, okay… how about for anybody who isn’t Orly?
White, wealthy, Christian males.

Oh, the irony…
Scott handily won the Republican Primary to serve the last 2 years of Jim DeMint’s unexpired term. He got 90% of the vote against challenger Randall Young. That just proves that Republicans in South Carolina can overwhelmingly support a black candidate when his opponent basically disappeared after filing, didn’t respond to newspaper queries, has no web site, nor even a photo on the internet I can find.
One problem with the primary system is that a very small percentage of eligible voters determine who the candidates will be. Roughly 300,000 Republicans bothered to vote in the South Carolina primary this year. In 2010, Jim DeMint was elected with approximately 811,000 votes. More than 500,000 South Carolina residents who voted in the 2010 general election stayed home on primary day.
P.S. As I recall, DeMint’s opponent in 2010, Alvin Greene, also was something of a mystery candidate.

ObamaÂ’s Middle East Politic is a train wreck. Do people never learn ?
http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2014/06/06/obama-advisor-susan-rice-hints-at-lethal-aid-to-syrian-rebel/
Rand Paul for President ! And that is no joke.
The low turnout was taken by Thomas Ravenel (a well-recognized name in SC) as evidence that South Carolinians didn’t like their choice in the Senate Race (the Graham race). I’ve been told that Ravenel is going to announce a third-party bid for Graham’s seat as a Rand Paul independent against Lindsey Graham in the general election.
What do you think of Lindsay Graham’s suggestions?
“Put American airpower into the game. These guys are not 10-feet tall. Stop the advance on Baghdad. Get people on the ground that the Iraqis trust. Maliki must go. Get a new government in place, right, and hit Syria. If you don’t deal with Syria in a coordinated fashion, maybe with Turkey, regional Sunni Arab states, you will have this happen all over again in Iraq. The Iranians can provide some assets to make sure Baghdad doesn’t fall. We need to coordinate with the Iranians.”
So simple. I wonder why no one else ever thought of it.
Maybe it’s time for him to get back in the game as an Air Force officer (I know he’s a non-combatant but he can change that I’m sure) and show everyone how to do it.
Rush Limbaugh on Donald Trump’s appearance on CNN. Birthers are mentioned.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yUzVsoo6YjQ
No, actually George Bush’s Middle Eastern politics were the trainwreck and we’re going to be paying for that for a LONG time. Your side has no credibility in any discussion about wars in the Middle East (and it’s sickening how you are absolutely so sure that every single rebel fighter in Syria is a Towelhead looking for his 72 virgins). Take your hate and your stupidity elsewhere, this is a website about Obama Conspiracies, and the biggest conspiracy in the Middle East is what the last Republican administration did there.
“Do you people never learn?” – Funny, that’s supposed to be MY line.
We get really offtopic here. Just to correct – “My side” – Germany – refused to be part of the coalition set up by GWB and his friends. The German high administrative court declared the Irak war to be “very probably” illegal and accquitted a soldier who had refused to assist American war planes going through Germany.
Obama got it right when – as a senator – he spoke against the Irak war. Now he is wrong.
BTW, to call other posters out for “hate and stupidity” is not what we are used to at DocÂ’s place.
To say it as it is – you as an American are responsible for everything your government does and has done. You, bgansel9, are responsible for GWB, like it or not. That is something Germans have learned after WWII.
The problem European is that when Obama took the reigns American was already in there. That leaves a certain responsibility for what happens when you leave. If you want to see what happens when you just cut and run look at parts of Africa from European colonization. A moral person must accept responsibility for the mess they leave behind, and like it or not the choice to not intervene is still a moral choice.
And there was a Democrat on CNN today arguing that the last thing the US wants to do is get involved in a religious civil war.
