Dr. Deb exposes herself

It is not my practice to “out” people on this web site; however, once someone outs themself, I may report it.

This article was prompted by a rather bizarre post by commenter drdebdrdeb at Birther Report. She wrote:

I use TOR and thus you [referring to me] have no earthly idea who I am or where on this planet I actually live. Good luck discovering who I am. Do you really think my name is Deb? (a screen name that looks good with Dr)

Of course I do know who drdebdrdeb is, and have known for months, but what I didn’t expect, what I could not have imagined in my wildest dreams, was that Dr. Evil Dr. Deb had outed herself on the same web site just a week ago!

image

I am really just shaking my head over that one. You can get a photo from her facebook page, easy to find because of the very unusual surname.

Update:

After leaving the URL to Dr. Deb’s exposing comment at BR directed to her, she doubles down with this reply:

I am thrilled that I have done such a great job of concealing my identify from you, Con. My online identity is the fictitious being I created for my online self.

What a pathetic liar. I replied:

So let me get this straight–you are now admitting that you stole the credentials and identity of the person whose name you posted on this web site last week, Dr. Deborah S. Curlette, a real person with a doctorate from Georgia State University? You are saying that the dissertation, “Importance and instructional focus of national core competencies and the degree to which national program standards are met in Georgia’s secondary marketing education programs” is not really yours.

I’m so embarrassed, going around telling people that you are a real PhD, when in fact, you just made it all up.

You should have followed my link and read your comment in which you posted your name, geographic location and phone number. I think it’s time for you to cut and run. Go make yourself an other fake online persona. Act nice, and nobody will ever suspect it’s you.

I suggest the book: “Darknet: A Beginner’s Guide to Staying Anonymous.”

Update 2:

I see what she did there. One can post on Intense Debate by replying to emails. That identifying information from Dr. Clueless is just her standard email tag line. I’ve had my tag line show up at BR for the same reason:

Dr. Conspiracy

I'm not a real doctor, but I have a master's degree.

Deb Curlette is also a fan of Orly Taitz, and commented approvingly on at least one of Orly’s “Taitz Reports” (those meandering streams of unconsciousness that Taitz recorded while sitting on her toilet, judging from the acoustics).

Yeah, Dr Deb is your classic freedumb-lovin’ right-wing nut job with a heavy sprinkling of stupid. She claims to have a PhD in education, but that’s probably a fake one from a degree mill. It’s difficult to believe that anyone with research skills could be a Taitz fan.

  2. AnyDayNow says:

This is SO funny. I was just over there reading the latest comments, and I saw her crazy post, and then I saw your amazing response! I can’t believe how foolish she just made herself look, and the funny thing is that she embarrassed herself while trying to embarrass you (talk about instant Karma). I can’t believe that she went into this whole diatribe about how she ‘uses TOR’ and that you would never be able to find out anything about her, and yet she is too stupid to realize that she already told everybody who she is, completely of her own free will. She just decided to publish her entire name AND phone number which are easily verifiable. I came over here to leave a remark in the open thread forum but I was so excited to see that you had already dedicated a thread to this topic! It deserves to be seen by as many as possible because then we can all remind her of her collasally embarrassing comment for weeks to come. She thinks so highly of herself, making sure everyone knows she is a “real” Dr, thinking that she is somehow smarter than the rest of us (which is what this embarrassing comment of hers was all about), she deserves to be taken down a few pegs and shown she is not ready for Mensa…. Not by a long shot! Great job on your ability to debunk something so quickly! It must be driving them NUTS, which obviously means that you are doing something right!

Nicely sarcastic. Do you feel better now?

  9. Pete says:

Someone over at BR accused KD of being a “dick.” I posted a comment (we’ll see whether it appears) noting that she basically lied about her identity:

I use TOR and thus you have no earthly idea who I am or where on this planet I actually live. Good luck discovering who I am. Do you really think my name is Deb? (a screen name that looks good with Dr)

And Dr. C simply pointed out that she had already outed herself.

I must say I am a bit surprised by the level of genuine conversation that seems to be possible over at BR these days. The site owner must’ve decided that it doesn’t matter whether his audience hears the truth, since they are impervious to it.

  10. Pete says:

I think it worth repeating Deb’s previous Birther Report comment here:

Arrest and Prosecute false “Dr Cospiracy” NOW.
WTP [I presume she means “We the People”] demand it!

    — drdebdrdeb
    — Comment at Birther Report, Oct. 18, 2015

While this is certainly freedom of speech, calling for the arrest and prosecution of an innocent person is thoroughly wrong. It is, in my opinion, evil.

It’s may not be evil in the pure and classic sense, but it’s evil in the sense of not caring what the truth actually is, of being all too willing to put a political agenda ahead of the truth, and being willing to call for the persecution of those with whom you may disagree.

By posting such a statement, “drdebdrdeb” (in my opinion) places herself in the role of those who would cheer on the lynch mob as they do their evil work.

Because in the end, that’s exactly what birthers are: A lynch mob, who care nothing about the truth, and who demand that their agenda be advanced no matter what the consequences might be to anyone with whom they disagree.

  11. What is the most ironic part to me is that I would never have known she had outed herself if not for that dig about grammar. I went through her Intense Debate profile posts looking for grammar errors on her part (she has the occasional problem with capitalization) and found the incredible self-outing. I did a double take, and verified that it really was at Birther Report.

I had no other reason to go looking because I identified her months ago, as RC and Foggy can testify. The only thing I didn’t have in my notes was her phone number, and I intentionally don’t put those in my notes.

AnyDayNow: This is SO funny. I was just over there reading the latest comments, and I saw her crazy post, and then I saw your amazing response! I can’t believe how foolish she just made herself look, and the funny thing is that she embarrassed herself while trying to embarrass you (talk about instant Karma).

  12. Pete says:

    That is ironic.

I was also interested in her use of grammar, etc., but I didn’t bother to look beyond the immediate post. The only amusing thing I noted there was:

You accuse me (a writer) of not being unable to write?

Just for the record: Did you in fact accuse her of not being unable to write? Lol…

  13. It was BETTER than that. This is the exact comment as originally written and received in my email notification:

    “your a dick,,,,,, ”

Yes folks, the very same error in spelling that Dr. Deb pointed out.

Pete: Someone over at BR accused KD of being a “dick.” I posted a comment (we’ll see whether it appears) noting that she basically lied about her identity:

  17. Crustacean says:

Let’s not jump to any conclusions without considering other possibilities, to wit:

    1) The commenter was simply presenting himself to you (as in “your friend charlesmountain”), but doing so with an Italian accent.

    2) The apostrophe decided to jump down and join the chorus line of commas

Dr. Conspiracy: “your a dick,,,,,, ”
Yes folks, the very same error in spelling that Dr. Deb pointed out.

    That is just hilarious.

Wow, amazing. She even created a Facebook profile with a few hundred Facebook friends (I wonder if they’re real people she hired or if she faked those Facebook profiles as well), plus extensive conversations with those friends dating back years, all kinds of faked photos, including of a ficticious high school yearbook in which a much younger version of Deb is on the staff of the literary magazine, and commentary elsewhere on the web using her full name.

Sorry, Doc. Looks like you’ve been pwned by a true expert.

    Rotfl.

The interesting thing is her outing her own identity, getting caught, and then still lying about it.

I’m a fan, Doc. What can I say?

  24. I just got home and found that Deb had outed herself. LOL

I can vouch for the fact that Doc had ID’ed Dr. Curlette some time ago. It was funny to watch her flat out lie about her identity when Doc claimed he knew who she was and now lie again. Oh what a tangled web we weave and all that. She is also a Rand Paul fan. She knows how to pick winners!

  25. CarlOrcas says:

  29. Andrew Vrba, PmG says:

BR has a contingency plan, for whenever one of their resident loudmouths gets owned. The front page gets spammed with a bunch of new articles, essentially burying the one where the trouble comment appeared in. So we should probably expect that plan to go into action soon. Honestly, I’m surprised its taking them this long to pull the level.

Then I guess a birther would have to conclude that makes her a prime suspect for the creation of Obama’s false identity. Someone better call Zullo.

  31. Someone should call the real Dr. Curlette and inform her an insane person has stolen her identity and is posting as her on a ridiculous Birther Blog.

  32. Paul says:

Just reported her to Facebook for using a false name on her profile LOL

  33. Pete says:

I don’t know who “point3r” is over there, but I thought this was a brilliant post:

Why is it that conservatives never seem capable of considering more than two options? “Crazy” and “evil” are not the only possibilities. Another is “correct.”

It is also pretty clear that during your “law enforcement” days you never took a class in statistics. Because you can’t calculate the probability of past events. They already either happened or they didn’t. There is nothing statistical about it.

Let’s briefly consider the claim that “the sheer volume of anomalies surrounding Obama is statistically improbable, if not impossible.” This idiotic assertion fails several different ways.

1st. The “volume” of anomalies associated with Obama is not in the slightest extraordinary. Most of what birthers consider anomalies are not anomalous at all. For example, all of the “digital anomalies” in the Whitehouse.gov PDF are completely ordinary for any document scanned to email on a Xerox WorkCentre. Simply because amateur birther “analysts” didn’t understand them doesn’t make them anomalous. One person’s ignorance does not magically create another person’s anomaly.

But more to the point, when discussing ACTUAL anomalies, everybody has some. Just not the same ones. Humans make mistakes so every human system will contain some. My father’s birth certificate contains one mistake. My mother’s contains two. A certificate I got for winning a speech tournament in high school has my first name wrong. My corporate bio had my age wrong. My grad school graduation program listed me as coming from the wrong state.

We all have anomalies, and the probability of the anomalies we have is 100% because we already had them. This is just as true with Obama’s as with yours.

Now… you also set up a straw man when you whine that “you Obots… come on here and say that NONE of this stuff is worthy of at LEAST looking into.” In point of fact there is not a single birther claim that Obots have not investigated. This is why we are so good at debunking birther nonsense piecemeal. While Zullo (and his incompetent “experts”) were flabbergasted by the President’s PDF IT WAS OBOT RESEARCHERS who uncovered the Xerox workflow. While birthers were falsely claiming that there was a State Department travel ban on Pakistan when Obama went there in 1981, IT WAS OBOT RESEARCHERS who found the actual State Department travel advisory proving the birthers wrong. While birthers were falling over themselves regarding the President’s SSN, IT WAS OBOT RESEARCHERS who bothered to find out how SSNs were actually assigned, and that Obama’s was perfectly explained by a single digit numeric typo in a ZIP code.

Nobody has “looked into” this stuff more enthusiastically, comprehensively and competently than the Obots. And this is why we have already won.

  40. And it was Obots [me] who found the actual Hawaiian race categories for 1961 when even the Department of Health said they didn’t know, and Zullo was just making them up. There are probably several more excellent examples.

Same with her Intense Debate profile.

The thread she started at BR is still there but her posts say deleted and point here: http://intensedebate.com/people/deleted3676167

Now there’s a real profile in courage for you.

  43. Well, she finally got a clue what’s going on. I bet she is royally pissed. I told her in my reply (which contains an image that she can’t delete) that she should get a new online identity. I don’t know all there is about the topic, but I think that there at least some situations where the only way to delete your posts at Intense Debate is to delete the Intense Debate Profile.

What puzzles me some is that the online drdebdrdeb persona seems extremely proud of herself, considering herself a patriot, intelligent, and effective. Why would she feel the need to pull the plug? When Corsi outed me at WND, I told my boss at the company where he worked what was going to happen (Corsi gave me warning), but I don’t recall deleting anything.

I learned a few tricks in life. One of them is not to lie because you never have to worry about being found out. Another is not to say things you can’t back up. The last is not to say things online that you’re ashamed for your friends to know. I do lose it sometimes on that last one. This makes life a lot simpler.

Seems like she just changed her Intense Debate profile name to “deleted3676167” (or maybe that’s just what Intense Debate does when you delete your account). I clicked on that link you provided and it lists all of her Intense Debate comments, including the “Golden” comment where she ‘comes out of the closet’. The link to the page that has that comment on it is http://intensedebate.com/people/deleted3676167/4 , so I think I am just going to be pasting that link into comments over at MensaReport as often as possible as a reminder of the moment that really made her famous to the Obots!

  45. Paul says:

This is really a great moment. I understand completely — and agree completely — that it would be out of line to “out” her or “dox” her in any way. And so our sense of decency allows us few moments to celebrate. Conversely, the BirthTards are willing to say or print or broadcast any filth and nastiness that enters their sh*t-filled brains, without a moment of hesitation or guilt… then celebrate their “victory” loudly and publicly.

So it’s really fun to be able to enjoy something like this fully aware that nothing was done that is out of line. She did it to herself. We can enjoy this little victory with a clean conscience.

    Thanks Doc.

  56. Pete says:

So I’ve been moseying through some of Deb’s past comments. A couple of interesting ones:

Just because someone does not agree with you does not make that person a “paid schill”. Last time I looked, there was something in our Constitution called Freedom of Speech. Intelligent people agree to disagree without being disagreeable. Any person who slams another because that person does not agree with him/her is who I suspect of being a “paid schill” as you put it.

…your attacks of Patriot_X remind me of what the Lord stated:
“1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Mk. 4.24”

One of the things I now find a bit fascinating is birther psychology. Why do they believe the things they believe, and behave the way they do?

In Deb’s posts I think I see a bit of Dunning-Kruger, and a lot of the isolated echo chamber effect and divide-and-demonize. She reads BR, but as with birthers in general she would never come over here and study both sides of the issue (isolated echo chamber) and gain an understanding of why non-birthers think birthers are full of crap. She doesn’t need to. She has a doctorate in education and is really smart (Dunning-Kruger), so that makes her right. Aside from which, she already “knows” that Kevin Davidson and all who disagree with her and BR are wicked, nasty evil supporters of the evil Obama and are all telling lies.

Demonizing people is a great way to avoid having to listen to them with an open mind and find out whether they’re actually right. Because, hey, they’re demons, so that means they’re automatically evil liars.

Here’s a demonization quote which (as I recall) was directed at Kevin Davidson and featured here previously as a QOTD:

When I read, “We read Birther Report so you don’t have to” it told me ALL I EVER needed to know about you.

You are EVIL to the CORE.

The Sheeple don’t need to check the facts because YOU do it for them.

Just like Communism. You SHALL NOT think for yourself.

I hope they are paying you a lot to spy on Americans.
You will need this money soon.

She’s completely oblivious as to the tonque-in-cheek nature of the original quote, to the fact that neither Kevin Davidson nor anybody else over here gives a rat’s patootie whether anyone reads Birther Report, and to the fact that the only reason people wouldn’t want to read Birther Report is that it’s a gigantic load of long-debunked and thoroughly disproven crap.

The disconnect from reality is remarkable.

Well, obviously Dr Dribble is terrified that her vile spew is going to affect her IRL world or otherwise why all of the manic and failing attempts to run from her posting history..?

Seems to be something of a pattern amongst the Birfoon and RWNJ Tendency, as an example suddenly it seems BS Extreme is retcon’ing his weiner images and his post history on Intense Debate has been pruned quite substantially.

FALCON of course is simply too damn stupid to think to sweep through his posting history to remove identifier posts.

  60. Lupin says:

    CarlOrcas: Now that is interesting.

    I agree. A coincidence? Probably. Still…

  61. FALCON never so blatantly outed himself, which is why I assume Doc has never publicly named him here. However, he left quite enough personal information about a family member who was an attorney on a significant case that it was possible to follow the clues and figure out his name and location.
    .

bovril: FALCON of course is simply too damn stupid to think to sweep through his posting history to remove identifier posts.

  62. Falcon knows he’s been identified and has not modified his behavior. As for BSE the question is academic because we haven’t identified him, nor is he one to give clues. All I have is an email address and a probably fictitious Facebook page that has no content.

Andrew Vrba, PmG: I wonder if BSE and Falcon would also take a powder if exposed.
    Just thinking…

  63. Another curiosity in the Dr. Deb saga is the fact that I sent her a “let’s bury the hatched” email a number of months ago. Either she didn’t get it, or she has known all this time that I had her email address.

Tracking her down started with her email address (and I won’t say how I got that). From her email address, I was able to locate 3 domain registrations (all parked at GoDaddy) attached to that address, and they had name and residence address info. With the unusual surname, I got to Facebook, and LinkedIn. She also created an online profile at a right-wing web site, and a few business pages and other searches turned up her academic and employment history.

  64. That reminds me of an incident from the past. I got out of a hotel shower and I found written in the steam on the mirror these words “YOUR NEXT.”

Dr. Conspiracy: received in my email notification:
    “your a dick,,,,,, ”

But she won’t be able to brag about her PhD or how that makes her smarter than everyone.

And of course her new account will use the same e-mail address.

It’s never a huge surprise when a birther fails to act in a civil and decent way.

I for one find it somewhat pleasant when birthers act like human beings. Mike Volin comes to mind for example in the recent interview. And whatever else their flaws may be, Nancy Owens and Cody Judy are at least capable of conducting themselves with enough decorum that you can actually have a conversation with them. That seems relatively rare for birthers.

  67. And to that list I would add Dean Haskins, who I met in Atlanta, and Chris Strunk who I also met in Atlanta and spoke to on the Volin show.

I think that one of the factors in those examples (and even the civil way I was treated by Orly Taitz the one time I spoke to her on the phone) was the medium Emails and web posts seem to bring out the worst in people, while face-to-face and phone encounters introduce social cues into the conversation, and impose certain social norms.

I’ve been to multiple court hearings, and have birthers get in my face, accuse me of treason, threaten me with eternal damnation, and call me names. Because I had the temerity to attend a public proceeding.

    So YMMV.

  69. Pete says:

I think there’s definitely something to what Dr C is saying, though. For example, I tend to think that Dr. Deb would behave in a normal way if one were to meet her in person, and especially in a one on one situation.

It’s simply easier to be inhuman to others over the internet. Part of it is the distance factor, and part of it is the lack of seeing the other person, in person. I imagine that it makes it easier to demonize them.

  70. gorefan says:

AnyDayNow: including the “Golden” comment where she ‘comes out of the closet’.

Wow, it is still there. And I see that it also is on the wayback machine

  71. I see what she did there. One can post on Intense Debate by replying to emails. That identifying information from Dr. Clueless is just her standard email tag line. I’ve had my tag line show up at BR for the same reason:

    Dr. Conspiracy
Searching for gold coins in a bucket of mud

  72. DaveH says:

Pete: She reads BR, but as with birthers in general she would never come over here and study both sides of the issue (isolated echo chamber) and gain an understanding of why non-birthers think KNOW birthers are full of crap.

    Just had to fix that…

And then there are people like Sarge, who was rather rude to Doc. Some people suck, some people don’t.

  74. Pete says:

bob: And then there are people like Sarge, who was rather rude to Doc.Some people suck, some people don’t.

Oh, yeah. There are probably birthers out there who would look you in the face in a public restaurant and start shouting obscenities, just because you correctly identify their BS as BS.

  75. HistorianDude says:

    Dr. Conspiracy:
I understand that Bob’s been out of town.

And he must be back. Point3r has been banned again.

Or even less provocation! Some birthers have shown they can act in a civil manner; some have shown they can’t. I don’t have enough information about Dr. Deb to know either way.

  77. More’s the pity. It was so very refreshing to talk with someone rational and articulate over there for a change.

HistorianDude: And he must be back. Point3r has been banned again.

  78. Crustacean says:

I wish Bob would travel more often. Birther Report has been waaaay more interesting the past couple of days.

I also wish I were some kind of super-hacker, and I could hack Bob’s Bad Blog so that every instance of the word “fa–ot” would be replaced by “sweetie-pie.” It would make BR at least 10% less repulsive.

Dr. Conspiracy: More’s the pity. It was so very refreshing to talk with someone rational and articulate over there for a change.

    For non-birthers.

For birthers, it’s distressing to have their fwimsy widdle world all shaken up by bad, evil, disturbing rational comments from those eeeeevil Obots and their harsh light of reality.

  80. Sluffy1 says:

DumDeb news makes me smile… in my minds eye I picture her as Kirk, deserted and alone… screaming “Con” at the heavens…. justice.

    Thanks Doc

bob: And then there are people like Sarge, who was rather rude to Doc. Some people suck, some people don’t.

I’ve never met a pleasant person who uses Sarge or Rambo as an online handle.

  81. AnyDayNow says:

She’s back. She has changed her screen name to “boomerbabe”, but if you click on it it leads right back to her original Intense Debate account. http://intensedebate.com/profiles/drdebdrdeb/
I also notices that she seems to have deleted all of her comments as far back as 17 weeks ago. She must not be proud of what she said. I wonder if there was a comment in particular that she regrets? Too bad for her that things can be deleted, but the internet never forgets. And there will always be people there to remind her in case she forgets what she wrote and then deleted since it has all been recorded elsewhere. She probably thinks that she is very clever changing her name, and that she has all of us obots fooled. The only problem is that someone replied to one of her very first comments as her new ‘persona’ with the quote “Deborah, you’re (not your) back!” Kudos to whomever that was! Not only did you let her know that she went to all that trouble of ‘rebranding’ for nothing, but you also slipped in that little zinger about the “your/you’re” incident. It was the perfect little cherry on top of a deliciously perfect post!

  82. Here is Dr. Deb as “boomerbabe” with a remarkable comment at BR:

“With Jade Helm rapidly approaching, I pray we are running out of time.”

  83. Pete says:

Hard to argue with brilliance like that.

  84. justlw says:

She obviously means the real Jade Helm, not that mummery down in Texas. Truly she has a dizzying intellect.

  85. Notorial Dissent says:

Dizzying is the word alright. How did she ever get a degree?
