According to a recent email from crusading anti-Obama lawyer, Dr. Orly Taitz, DDS, Esq.:
Today is the first day my assistants Vivian and Theresa opened my Facebook account to wide audience. About 500 people signed up as friends. Amazingly congresswoman Mary Bono asked to be my friend on facebook. I will be delighted to be friends with Congresswoman Bono. I, also, hope that she, as well as other congresswomen and men and senators sign up as plaintiffs in my legal action, seeking declaratory relief and unearthing original vital records of Barack Hussein Obama. It is time.
So not only does she have a friend in Congress, but she has minions to do her bidding now. I wonder if Vivian and Theresa are the ones pictured here.
By the way, this is the Facebook account I believe Orly refers to, and Mary Bono Mack is listed as a friend. Mack is a congresswoman from the 45th district of California (Riverside County, and not were Orly Taitz lives).
For more birthers in Congress, check out Salon.com.
And so???? LOL
My, my sounds like a junior high girl obssesed with her popularity. When I was that age we had autograph books. The more friends that signed them the more popular you felt. I am long since past that. The good dentist?
Sarah Brooks from the Missouri GOP is the main assistant according to Taitz’s last blogs from May to June. why she would name drop two anonomous assistants is beyond her capabilities. She would want you to know their last names and addresses if they were real.
I’m reminded of a Non Sequitur comic from Tuesday, June 30, 2009.
“Whohoo! I have 1000 friends on facebook!”
“Wow. That’s great, Joe. How many of them would you lend money to?”
*silence*
“Y’know, most folks outgrow imaginary friends when they hit adolescence.”
“Oh, shut up.”

Orly is bragging this morning that Eric Cantor, the House Minority Whip, has ‘friended’ her on Facebook. As House Minority Whip, he is probably considered the 4th most influential Republican in the Congress. Just what this country needs, the #4 Republican is a Birther fan.
You can contact Mr Cantor by email,
https://writerep.house.gov/writerep/welcome.shtml
but like most Congress today, he only accepts email from his consituents. So you have to say you’re from Virginia, and insert a 9-digit zip code that synchs with his district, like, say Virginia, 22701-3325. That gets you to the form page and you can then insert your real name and address and message
He should be ashamed and we should let him know it.
And if you’re so inclined, Mary Bono, 92544-8623
We need to be sure the good dentist is correct. I do not know anything about facebook but could someone lead her to believe they were Cantor?
Mary, politicians use facebook as a free mailing list. So some of them simply respond affirmatively to every “friend” request they get, because then they can send messages instantaneously to everyone. (Of course it is some staffer or intern who has the job to click to accept all the “friend” requests). When you first sign on to Facebook, you have the option of giving your email password so the program can pull the names of ALL of your contacts, which usually is everyone you have ever sent or received email from — and then it sends an automated message to all the people who are already are on Facebook to invite them to be your friend.
It is meaningless. Bragging about it is like bragging when you get a robocall with the pre-recorded voice of a big shot politician or celebrity.
I just checked Facebook. Eric Cantor has 3,179 “friends”.
Well, did Orly ask to “friend” these people and they just agreed? ( Now Michael Steele is her “friend” too.) She portrays it like it was unsolicited, but you’re probably right about how it happened. But still, I don’t imagine that if Charles Manson or Terry Nichols asked to friend Cantor, he would just accept. Maybe if he or his staff don’t know who Orly Taitz is, that’s good news.
If I were a politician of Cantor’s rank I would not sign on as a friend of the good dentist or anyone who calls for the military to overthrow the government. I would try and find someone more sane if I wanted to use this politically- and that is all it would be given the evidence. That’s why I asked. Thank you for your information.
Hey, Orly is following ME on Twitter.

Mike Stark from firedoglake is trying to get Repubs on record about birthers. They literally run and hide! Except one.
http://firedoglake.com/2009/07/27/mike-stark-on-capitol-hill-know-your-birthers/
I cannot wait to see how Cantor and others react to the claims of their new friend.
I am not sure how many friends Orly will have after making the following comment…
“Asked whether Republican lawmakers should be “afraid” of the birthers, Taitz said: “I wouldn’t say the word afraid.’ I think they should be willing to resign or be removed. That is what they should do. … Resign if you do not have the guts to stand for the Constitution of this country.”

I think they should be willing to resign or be removed.
And how does the constitutional scholar Taitz think lawmakers will be “removed”?
“And how does the constitutional scholar Taitz think lawmakers will be “removed”?”
By her
citizen grand juriesbook clubs.“constitutional scholar”
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
She’s not even a good dentist. Or is it real estate agent?
I dunno. Without context, Mike Stark sounds kind of like a Birther.
I might run away if cornered by a Birther.
Although cute, it is too gotcha!
It’s a simple question really. “Do you think Barack Obama was born in the United States?” If they dodge the question because they are worried Mike is a Birther and going to use the video against them, what does that say about them anyway.
Mike has been there for weeks dogging them about Health Care Public Option so many of them know who he is.
A little gotcha is good for them. It doesn’t hurt to remind them who they work for.
Part Deux is up at firedoglake. A few get do-overs and still run.
If someone ran up to me with a camera rolling and asked me a question, I would be evasive too. Doesn’t mean I “have something to hide”; means I don’t like people ambushing me on camera.
Just a little Stuttering John “interviewing” celebrities for my taste. Funny, but not substantive.
You know what the Birfers don’t seem to realize? that by jumping on the Orly Facebook bandwagon, they’ve given up all sorts of private info, not able to hide behind Freeper/Storm Front screen names anymore. 😀
